After nearly 3 months off, the fans of motorsports in Vietnam have the opportunity to turn their attention to the VMRC (Vietnam Motorcycle Racing Championship) 2023. Round 3 continued on the morning of October 15 at the familiar “holy land” – Dai Nam race track in Binh Duong province.
After an upgrade, the technical dimensions of Dai Nam track have now reached a length of 2.2km with 11 corners, including 7 right turns and 4 left turns. The longest straight acceleration section stretches 400m through the starting line and the pit area.
As the race approaches, the temperature at Dai Nam is very ideal – reaching 28 degrees Celsius. The wind speed is only 10km/h, the weather is cool – with light sunshine and some clouds. The road surface has just been rained on, the track has not completely dried yet and requires the racers to demonstrate their technical skills and vehicle control abilities, especially in the three corners 6-7 and 8.

The third round of VMRC 2023 witnessed the absence of Taiwanese female racer Nana Ying Yi. Although she won the Pole in the young talented race category, however, Nhat Duy #03 did not perform impressively and fell behind.
Duc Tri #82, Trung Kien #40, and Ngo Khoa #06 – the top 3 racers in the forefront quickly extended the gap with the racers behind them. At the end of the first race, Trung Kien, Duc Tri, and then Ngo Khoa closely followed each other in order to enter the second race.
At the end of the second race, the group of racers began to separate clearly, with the top 3 racers, Nhat Duy #03 and Vu Ngoc Thanh Dat #84 being the 4th and 5th racers respectively, and the rest of the racers in the group.
At the top, the running order of the top three racers continuously changed rapidly. Duc Tri #82 took the opportunity when Ngo Khoa #06 attacked Trung Kien #40 to move ahead. But soon after, Ngo Khoa, then Trung Kien, returned to the forefront of the race in the following corners.
In the last two races, young racer #40 Trung Kien temporarily took the lead to establish a safe distance. In the rear, #82 Duc Tri and #06 Ngo Khoa competed fiercely, neck and neck, on every meter of the road; actively attacking the opponent’s line in each corner. The positions on the victory podium have never been so unpredictable and dramatic since the first race – the NSF100 category.

The leader of the total standings is currently Le Tran Kim Thanh #04 with 27 points. He starts from the second position, after the pole-winning racer #75 Nguyen Duc Hoai Thuong. Female racer Truong Hai Yen #12, who is in fourth place, leads Row 2 and is also a character that has attracted much attention.
At this time, before the starting line, the mist has dissipated and the heat of Dai Nam “furnace” is increasing, as the temperature has reached 29 degrees Celsius, while the wind force has decreased to 6 km/h.
Right when the signal lights go out, #04 Le Tran Kim Thanh immediately accelerates and makes every effort to grab the leading position. Then comes a series of very standard handling operations to ensure that no opponent can surpass. Before the first race ends, a series of racers have collided and got caught in a group fall.
At the end of the first race, #04 Kim Thanh has shown his excellent class by creating a gap of more than 4 seconds from the racers behind. In the second position, racer #75 Hoai Thuong seems to have technical problems as smoke continuously comes out of his vehicle and he cannot maintain the necessary speed.
Taking advantage of this, Nguyen Truong Hai Yen #12 quickly attacked and took the second position from racer Hoai Thuong #75. Despite the vehicle’s malfunction, #75 Hoai Thuong still persistently pursued Hai Yen.
Unfortunately, shortly after, Hai Yen was continuously distracted by the persistence of #75 Hoai Thuong, causing her to lose focus when entering the corner and slip off the bike. She immediately stood up and grabbed the bike, determined not to give up!
However, this effort could not prevent the two racers #75 Hoai Thuong and Le Minh Hieu #72 from surpassing and running in second and third places respectively. Although trying very hard, Nhat Duy #63 – who ranked second in round 2 and Thanh Dat #84 have not had a chance to appear on the victory podium.

Race 4 pole was won by #79 Tran Gia Huy. He is currently the temporary owner of the top position with 32 points on the overall standings. The fierce competition comes from #71 Dang Chi Khoi and #73 Nguyen Minh Tri – both racers starting second and third respectively, with 24 total points, tied after the first two rounds.
Immediately when the lights go out, #79 Tran Gia Huy takes the chance to increase the speed and at the same time, occupies the racing line, at the fierce pace with Nguyễn Nhật Trường #96. This pressure makes #96 nervous and has to give up the leading position to #79 Gia Huy.
However, at the end of the first race, #96 Truong regained the lead after moving into the straight section. The young racer #17 Dang Khoa excelled in the entire race but made a small mistake in the last moment – entering a corner wrongly and unfortunately fell off the bike.
Right at this moment, #54 Le Vu Truong Giang “appeared out of nowhere” and quickly overtook Dang Khoa at the final meters of the race to secure a place on the victory podium.
In the last few meters before the finish line, if the two top positions have been almost assigned to #04 Kim Thanh and #75 Hoai Thuong respectively; then all the attention is focused on what is behind. #12 Nguyen Truong Hai Yen made great efforts after the fall and this time #72 Le Minh Hieu was the distracted one, constantly looking back to observe the opponent behind.
In the last turns, this distraction caused #75 Minh Hieu to make a mistake in the corner and #12 Hai Yen quickly surpassed him to take the third position. This result remained until the racers crossed the checkered flag. A very sweet ending for the persistent efforts of female racer #12 Nguyen Truong Hai Yen and the excellent performance of young racer #04 Le Tran Kim Thanh.

However, at the end of the next lap, #68 Le Khanh Loc has once again passed Huu Tin to take the lead. Too embarrassed, not willing to be pressured by his opponent, #11 Le Hung Huu Tin quickly leaned into the straight section and overtook to regain the first position.
Both Huu Tin and Khanh Loc continuously attacked, changed positions for each other in a very thrilling manner at each corner. Meanwhile, in the rear, the duo #20 Minh Sang and #38 Hoang Phuc established a very exciting and intense pursuit.

However, in the last few straight meters, the script repeated itself when Huu Tin looked back and let #68 Khanh Loc surpass almost side by side with him. Ultimately, #68 Le Khanh Loc was the one who clinched the victory. He celebrated with excitement, then slowed down and clapped his hands in celebration with #11 Le Hung Huu Tin.
Both of them showed professionalism and the spirit of superior sportsmanship as they fiercely competed during the race but immediately congratulated each other after crossing the finish line – no animosity or negative emotions. The owner of the remaining position on the victory podium is racer Tran Hoang Phuc #38.
