OUTSTANDING VALUES OF THE PRODUCT
As a premium sporty SUV with many new outstanding values, the all-new Honda CR-V has elevated the SUV standard to a new level with “Sporty Design – Powerful Performance – Advanced Safety – Maximum Convenience”.
The design is a remarkable highlight of the 6th generation Honda CR-V with completely new changes to the exterior. The all-new Honda CR-V is larger in size than the previous version in terms of length and width, making the body look more robust, powerful, and accentuating its inherent sporty look.
The extremely eye-catching sporty appearance of the CR-V attracts observers with features such as the front bumper designed in a honeycomb mesh style along with sturdy chrome lines, black paint that creates a strong and trendy appearance. Combined with thin and sharp LED headlights that create a modern, sophisticated appearance, providing a sense of elegance and mystery.
Sharp lines run along the body from the taillights to the headlights, creating a sense of continuous forward motion.
The taillights at the rear of the vehicle are designed in a traditional vertical design but stand out with modern, sophisticated displays that create a personality and impressive feeling.
The high ground clearance and sturdy 18-inch cast aluminum wheels emphasize the sporty appearance of the CR-V.
In addition, the rearview is widened thanks to cleverly designed windshield pillars and mirror positions, which not only helps the driver to observe more conveniently but also gives the vehicle a majestic appearance.
Furthermore, this is the first time Honda Vietnam has introduced the RS version to customers in Vietnam on the CR-V with a Hybrid engine. The RS version has elevated the sporty features of the vehicle to a new level with unique highlights: black painted grille and mirror, RS logo attached to the front and rear of the vehicle, delicate red stitching on the firm black leather, and glossy black-painted 10-spoke wheels that bring a sporty and energetic feeling.
A competitive advantage that is considered as the brand identity of Honda vehicles is their ability to deliver sporty and powerful performance – satisfying the driving pleasure of customers. The 6th generation Honda CR-V continues this mission by bringing breakthrough improvements with 2 powerful and fuel-efficient engine options: Hybrid engine (5-seat version) and gasoline engine (7-seat versions). This is also the first time the Hybrid engine has been introduced to customers in Vietnam on a Honda CR-V, promising to bring a powerful and exciting driving experience.
To reduce Carbon emissions, the switch from fossil fuels to renewable energy or “green” energy is necessary and requires an appropriate roadmap. Currently, in the transition phase, Hybrid Electric Vehicles (HEVs) are an effective solution for environmental issues and are suitable for the Vietnamese market as they do not require charging infrastructure and do not change consumer habits.
Honda has launched Hybrid vehicles in Vietnam – the CR-V e:HEV RS is the first step on Honda Vietnam’s journey to realize its commitment to the common goals of the Government of Vietnam and Honda Motor: achieving Carbon Neutrality by 2050. The fuel-saving Hybrid engine reduces fuel consumption by about 30% compared to vehicles with gasoline engines, thus significantly reducing the amount of CO2 emissions into the environment.
In addition, by applying post-exhaust treatment technology and advanced combustion technology, the system also reduces the amount of precious metal used in the catalyst. Furthermore, the Hybrid engine also provides outstanding performance and a great driving experience. The environmentally-friendly Hybrid engine system of the all-new Honda CR-V is equipped with a system of 2 motors combined with a 2.0L internal combustion engine, which helps the vehicle operate powerfully and smoothly. The gasoline engine can be separated from the rest of the Hybrid powertrain, so it only operates when necessary, depending on the state of charge and other parameters. When in operation, the internal combustion engine and the Hybrid motor can generate maximum power of 146 Hp (109 kW) at 6,100 rpm and 181 Hp (135 kW) at 4,500 rpm, respectively. When both the gasoline engine and the Hybrid motor work together, they can generate a maximum power of up to 204 Hp (152 kW).
The all-new Honda CR-V e:HEV RS uses an E-CVT transmission that includes a generator motor with a speed of 19,000 rpm to charge the battery when necessary and assist the driving motor. The driving motor with a peak speed of 14,500 rpm generates a pulling force of 335 Nm, helping to optimize operational efficiency and fuel economy, while also providing powerful and refined movements, minimizing the noise vibration of the powertrain.
In addition, the sports driving mode on this version will make the engine more responsive and powerful when accelerating, bringing an exciting and fun driving experience.
With the gasoline engine options, the all-new Honda CR-V offers 3 versions: G, L – front-wheel drive and L AWD – 4-wheel drive.
The all-new Honda CR-V 6th generation continues to provide even more excitement when driving and superior fuel efficiency. The gasoline versions of the all-new Honda CR-V bring even more excitement when driving and superior fuel efficiency. All the gasoline versions of the all-new Honda CR-V are equipped with a 1.5L VTEC TURBOcharged engine, producing a maximum power of up to 188 Hp (140 kW) at 6,000 rpm and a maximum torque of up to 240 Nm at a range of 1,700 – 5,000 rpm. When accelerating from 100km/h at high speeds for overtaking, the 1.5L VTEC TURBOcharged engine provides a sensation as if it were a naturally aspirated engine without any Turbo lag.
For the first time in Vietnam, the all-new Honda CR-V adds the L AWD version with 4-wheel drive to bring an exciting driving experience and excellent durability and flexibility on every road.
Chassis, noise vibration harshness (NVH), and vehicle body
The all-new Honda CR-V brings a comfortable and inspiring journey with a firm and responsive driving feel from the moment the engine starts thanks to the improvement of the body’s stiffness and steering system to balance the stability and handling response of the vehicle, reduce suspension friction for smoother movement, and improve the stability of the vehicle. The NVH system is also improved to reduce noise from the engine compartment, road noise, and external noise entering the cabin by adding sound insulation materials around the body, engine, and windshield, increasing sound absorption ability, reducing gaps in the engine compartment and between the door gaps/glass.
The all-new Honda CR-V continues to demonstrate Honda’s commitment to providing safe and reliable means of transportation while contributing to the realization of the Vietnamese Government’s goal “No deaths due to traffic accidents by 2045.”
All versions of the all-new Honda CR-V are equipped with the Honda SENSING advanced safety driving support technology, providing comprehensive protection for drivers, passengers, road users, and surrounding vehicles. The new Honda SENSING system has been upgraded and improved compared to the 5th generation CR-V, thanks to the wider-angle camera, radar, and accurate, responsive processing unit. The system measures distances and positions based on changes in the size of targets, the time changes occur, and the vehicle speed, enabling the camera in front to recognize white lines, road edges, motorcycles, pedestrians, and bicycles. The system includes superior features:
The Collision Mitigation Braking System (CMBS)
The Auto High-Beam Headlights (AHB) system (applied to gasoline engine versions)
Or Adaptive Driving Beam (ADB) system (applied to the Hybrid engine version)
The Adaptive Cruise Control system with Low-Speed Follow (ACC with LSF)
The Road Departure Mitigation System (RDM)
The Lane Keeping Assist System (LKAS)
The Low Speed Follow System (LCDN)
In addition, the vehicle is also equipped with other advanced active and passive safety features to provide the highest level of protection for both passengers in the vehicle and road users.
The active safety features include: Honda LaneWatch lane observation system (L, L AWD, e:HEV RS versions), Hill Start Assist (HDC), Active Steering Assist (AHA), Tire Pressure Monitoring System (TPMS), Driver Attention Monitor (DAM), 360-degree camera (L AWD, e:HEV RS versions), rear sensors, front sensors (e:HEV RS version), automatic rain-sensing windshield wipers (L, L AWD, e:HEV RS versions), rearview camera, rear seat reminder function.
The passive safety features include: an 8-airbag system including front airbags, curtain airbags, and knee airbags in the front seats.
The vehicle has officially received a 5-star safety certification in the crash test carried out by the New Car Assessment Program for Southeast Asian Countries (ASEAN NCAP). These safety features will undoubtedly allow CR-V owners to drive with peace of mind and deal with any emergencies that may occur during the journey, ensuring absolute safety for both short and long trips.
The all-new Honda CR-V 6th generation offers customers a variety of interior options with 7 seats (on gasoline engine versions) and 5 seats (on the Hybrid engine version). By cleverly combining Honda’s latest technologies and sophisticated design, optimizing interior space, the all-new CR-V achieves the pinnacle of convenience, modernity, and spaciousness.
The most pronounced feature that brings comfort is the spacious, modern interior space, equipped with many advanced technologies, with a large central control panel with control knobs made from high-quality materials, a tidy layout, and user-friendly, providing high convenience for both the driver and passengers. In particular, the Head-Up Display (HUD) (L AWD, e:HEV RS versions) updates important information, helping the driver always focus on the road, promptly handle any issues that may arise during the journey, ensuring absolute safety for the trip. The control compartment of the all-new CR-V is spacious, accommodating 2 smartphones and supporting wireless charging.
The front seats are designed to fit passengers’ bodies and minimize negative vibrations in weak areas such as the pelvis and lumbar area to minimize fatigue during long journeys. To further support the driver, the 8-way power-adjustable driver’s seat with memory for 2 positions, reduced steering wheel rotation from 28 degrees to 25 degrees, bringing a sporty feel and easy driving like controlling a compact sedan.
In addition, the all-new Honda CR-V also provides advanced features to maximize the comfort of passengers, such as 4-way power-adjustable seats for passengers; the interior has a combination of 8 cup holders, a small compartment between cup holders, and the central armrest position to allow all passengers to feel comfortable and relaxed when traveling.
In order to provide customers with the best service quality and increase their confidence in using Hybrid engines, Honda Vietnam will apply a special 5-year or 130,000 km (whichever comes first) warranty policy for parts of the Hybrid system, with the condition that the customer must fully comply with the manufacturer’s recommended periodic checks and maintenance during the 5 years of use. In addition, Honda Vietnam also deploys 24/7 roadside assistance nationwide (free for the first 2 years) for CR-V Hybrids encountering problems with tires that prevent the vehicle from continuing to travel.
