Twelve events and programs were held simultaneously in a hybrid format, with notable projects including the unveiling of the Central Political-Administrative Center and the Convention and Performance Center; the groundbreaking ceremony for the expansion of Cat Bi International Airport; and the launch of a new urban area development project in Duong Kinh district and Kien Thuy district.
The remaining eight satellite projects comprised: the inauguration of the Singapore International Education Complex; the technical opening of a rural road in Dai Hop commune (Kien Thuy), built under the New Rural Model Program; the launch of the infrastructure construction and business project for Tien Cuong 2 Industrial Cluster (Tien Lang); the inauguration of a housing project for workers (Hai An district); the groundbreaking ceremony for a social housing project in Dong Hai ward (Hai An district); the unveiling of a park at the Nam Cau Binh intersection; the construction commencement of a 5-star hotel in Hong Bang district; and the groundbreaking ceremony for the infrastructure development project of Trang Due 3 Industrial Park.

Speaking at the event, Mr. Le Anh Quan, Vice Chairman of the Hai Phong People’s Committee, emphasized that these projects, whether inaugurated or launched, are landmarks that contribute to the city’s changing urban landscape. They are also a step towards Hai Phong’s vision of becoming a city on par with others in the region and the world, and a key growth pole in Northern Vietnam.
Regarding the inaugurated, launched, opened, and unveiled projects, Mr. Quan instructed the departments, districts, and investors to immediately operate and exploit them to maximize investment efficiency, thus contributing to the socio-economic development of the city.
For the projects that have just broken ground, the investors and contractors are requested to mobilize equipment, machinery, and manpower to start construction immediately, striving to complete the projects ahead of schedule. Meanwhile, the departments, industries, and localities are responsible for promptly addressing any obstacles and focusing on land clearance to facilitate the contractors’ construction progress.
