The Yamaha NVX V3 2025, also known as the Aerox Alpha, made its debut in Indonesia last year and has since undergone a remarkable transformation. The new model sports a dynamic and robust design, featuring a bold front facade with an extended mask and new LED headlights in a distinctive V-shape, integrating turn signals and positioning lights.

The body has been streamlined for a sleek and modern look, while the rear end takes inspiration from large-displacement motorcycles. The full-color digital instrument cluster offers three display modes and includes notable features such as a smart key and front-wheel ABS.

The Vietnam showcase model is equivalent in specifications to the Indonesian market version, powered by a liquid-cooled, single-cylinder, 155cc Blue Core engine with VVA technology. This engine delivers 11.3 kW (approximately 15.4 hp) at 8,000 rpm and is paired with an electronically controlled Yamaha Electric Continuously Variable Transmission (YECVT) that provides a “turbo” sensation during acceleration.

The YECVT features a small electric motor that actively controls the clutch, unlike conventional centrifugal clutches. This allows the rider to have more control over the transmission. Yamaha has also included two riding modes: T-Mode (Town Mode) for urban commuting and S-Mode (Sport Mode) for high-speed cruising.

Additionally, the Yamaha NVX 155 V3 introduces the Y-Shift feature with three response levels: low, medium, and high. Riders can manually select the appropriate transmission level according to their riding conditions. For instance, increasing engine drag when going downhill reduces brake load and helps prevent brake fade.

According to energy labeling information published by the Vietnam Registry, the NVX V3 has a fuel consumption rate of 2.21 liters per 100 kilometers.

With its impressive upgrades, the Yamaha NVX V3 is expected to give strong competition to the Honda Air Blade. Currently, the Yamaha NVX V2 is priced at VND 55.3 million, while the Honda Air Blade 160 ranges from VND 56.69 million to VND 58.39 million.
