Accompanying Indonesia in Realizing its “Golden Indonesia 2045” Vision

Mr. Nguyen Van Khoa, CEO of FPT, spoke at the signing ceremony of the MoU between FPT and Bappenas.
To promote digital transformation in Indonesia, encourage innovation, and develop high-quality digital talent, FPT and Bappenas signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) for a five-year period (2025 – 2030). This aims to contribute to realizing Indonesia’s “Golden Generation” vision by 2045.
The MoU marks a significant milestone in Indonesia’s commitment to leveraging advanced technologies such as artificial intelligence (AI), green technology, and smart city solutions to drive holistic and sustainable development.
As per the cooperation agreement, FPT and Bappenas will jointly implement strategic initiatives to accelerate Indonesia’s digital transformation. Specifically, the collaboration will focus on co-creating national and industry-level digital transformation roadmaps, with an emphasis on enhancing digital governance through the implementation of e-Government, Smart Planning, and e-Monitoring platforms.
A crucial pillar of the cooperation is the development of digital talent. Both parties will design and implement comprehensive retraining and advanced training programs in critical areas such as AI, cybersecurity, software engineering, and data science. These programs target civil servants, students, and young workers across Indonesia to build a future-ready workforce.
The agreement also fosters innovation through pilot projects applying AI, green technology, and smart agriculture to address challenges in urban management and sustainable development. FPT will provide strategic consulting and contribute to policy-making to shape Indonesia’s digital economy, with a focus on areas like logistics, fintech, and digital infrastructure.
“To realize the Golden Indonesia 2045 vision, we must harness technology, strengthen our industrial foundation, and invest in future digital talent,” said Indonesia’s National Development Planning Minister Rachmat Pambudy. “Through this cooperation, we will not only enhance our national technological capabilities but also build a shared future that is inclusive, sustainable, and rich in innovation for both Indonesia and Vietnam.”
“FPT is honored to accompany the Indonesian government on its digital transformation journey,” said Mr. Nguyen Van Khoa, CEO of FPT. “Our commitment goes beyond technology to creating a future where innovation delivers practical value to people, drives economic growth, and fosters sustainability. Through our collaboration with Indonesia’s National Development Planning Agency, we aim to build a sustainable digital ecosystem that contributes not only to Indonesia’s national vision but also to the digital connectivity and development of the Southeast Asian and Asia-Pacific regions.”

FPT and Muhammadiyah Yogyakarta University (UMY) signed a cooperation agreement focusing on IT talent training, especially in AI and semiconductors.
Exploring Collaboration with Muhammadiyah, One of the World’s Largest Civil Organizations

During the meeting, FPT and Muhammadiyah discussed potential collaboration in four areas: digital transformation, digital talent, digital education, and digital healthcare. As a first step towards cooperation, FPT and Muhammadiyah Yogyakarta University (UMY), one of Indonesia’s largest educational institutions, signed an agreement focusing on IT talent training, particularly in AI and semiconductors. Collaborating with Indonesia’s Leading Universities to Train High-Quality Human Resources
FPT also signed agreements with several of Indonesia’s top universities to transfer training programs in IT, AI, and semiconductors. Specifically, FPT signed MoUs with Amikom Yogyakarta University, Bunda Mulia University (UBM), and the Indonesia Institute of Technology, and a Letter of Intent (LOI) with Ciputra University. These agreements expand the network of international partners, providing Vietnamese and Indonesian students with access to a global learning environment while promoting research collaboration and innovation.
FPT’s leadership also met with Indonesia’s Ministry of Education, which highly appreciated the practical training model of the FPT education system. The Ministry proposed establishing a specialized team to exchange and share experiences in training high-tech human resources and linking the transfer of training programs between the two sides.
Having entered the Indonesian market in 2017, FPT has steadily established itself as a leading and trusted technology partner in the region. Recently, the corporation signed an agreement worth 67 million USD with KMP Aryadhana and established a strategic collaboration in AI with the state oil company Pertamina. Currently, FPT has a team of over 200 technology experts and two large offices in Indonesia, with a third office planned to open this year.
