Agrimeco’s plans, however, fall short of the nearly VND 219 billion in revenue and over VND 18 billion in pre-tax profit targets set for 2024.

Some key tasks that Agrimeco has planned for 2025 include the prioritization of completing commercial power generation and national grid connection for the Vu Quang (Ha Tinh) and Ban Mong (Nghe An) hydroelectric plants. The Vu Quang plant is expected to be inaugurated in the second half of the year, contributing approximately VND 25-30 billion in annual revenue. Meanwhile, the Ban Mong plant, despite being completed long ago, is now awaiting land clearance and the completion of irrigation works, and is projected to bring in VND 200-250 billion in annual revenue.

Additionally, Agrimeco intends to construct a high-tech energy management center to ensure the monitoring and control of energy projects using modern technology, optimizing efficiency and effectively managing the nationwide hydroelectric and renewable energy systems.

Furthermore, the pilot project for a 1km solar panel installation on the Ngàn Trươi – Cẩm Trang irrigation canal (Ha Tinh) will be completed this year. This initiative serves as a testbed to identify optimal technology and investment models, paving the way for future project expansions. Each kilometer of the canal covered with solar panels requires over 100 tons of steel structures, presenting a significant opportunity for the mechanical industry.

In the field of hydropower, Agrimeco will commence several projects under the program to exploit energy from reservoirs, while also finalizing investment reports for two pumped-storage hydropower projects in Ha Tinh (expected capacity of 800MW) and Binh Thuan (expected capacity of 1,100MW). The Thuy Dien Ha Hoa Binh (Thuan My), Dong Cam, and Do Luong projects will also be proposed for inclusion in the national energy development plan.

Notably, Agrimeco is exploring direct power purchase agreements to enhance investment efficiency. Under new government initiatives, electricity producers can sell directly to customers instead of through EVN, potentially increasing electricity prices and benefiting consumers.

The Company will also continue its bamboo biomass cultivation program, expanding the plantation area, experimenting with tissue culture propagation methods, and researching new technologies to develop bamboo-based products.

In 2025, Agrimeco will initiate two significant projects by its member units. The first is the construction of a 40-story building by the Mechanical and Installation Joint Stock Company 276 in Ho Chi Minh City. The second is a collaboration with the Aeon Mall Group to build a commercial center in Thanh Tri, Hanoi. Regarding profit distribution, Agrimeco plans to pay a 6% cash dividend for 2024 and maintain this rate for 2025.
