As e-commerce continues to boom globally, playing a pivotal role in Vietnam’s national digital transformation, the country is gearing up to host a significant event. The Vietnam E-Commerce and Digital Technology Application Forum 2025, organized by the E-Commerce and Digital Economy Agency under the Ministry of Industry and Trade, will take place on September 5 in Ho Chi Minh City.
This forum is part of the Vietnam International Sourcing Exhibition 2025, which is expected to attract nearly 600 domestic and foreign booths and the participation of many international business delegations from the US, China, France, Singapore, Malaysia, and other key markets.
The event affirms its role as a “strategic rendezvous” for Vietnam’s e-commerce and digital technology community. It not only provides an overview of global e-commerce trends but also creates practical connections for international organizations and Vietnamese businesses to promote their products, expand export markets, seek investment cooperation, and enhance competitiveness.
Notably, the presence of industry leaders such as Amazon Global Selling, Shopee, Tiktok Shop, ViettelPost, Vietnam Post, JD Logistics, Fado, Sendo Farm, and Taureau AI (France), along with other international partners, will enable local enterprises to access advanced solutions for supply chain optimization, logistics operations, and marketing strategies within the realm of e-commerce.
The forum will feature two specialized conferences in the morning and afternoon at The Adora Premium Conference Center (next to SECC). These include the E-Commerce Conference on “Diversifying Export Markets and Applying Digital Technology for Vietnamese Enterprises,” where experts and leading platform representatives will share insights on exporting through e-commerce to markets like the US, ASEAN, China, and Europe, as well as solutions utilizing AI, digital technology, and data to enhance export efficiency, especially for small and medium-sized enterprises.
Additionally, the “E-Commerce and Cross-Border E-Commerce Panorama Forum – A Direction for Vietnam’s Export Enterprises” will focus on updating trends in domestic and cross-border e-commerce. It will also introduce modern logistics models, technology solutions for supply chain management, and lessons learned from domestic and international experts and enterprises.
According to Mr. Bui Huy Hoang, Deputy Director of the E-Commerce and Digital Development Center (eComDX) under the E-Commerce and Digital Economy Agency (Ministry of Industry and Trade), this forum will also discuss cooperation in developing and organizing e-commerce training and connection programs for Vietnamese businesses abroad, such as in China, Singapore, South Korea, and the United States, together with the Cross-Border E-Commerce Alliance (ACBC) and other significant international partners. This lays the groundwork to support Vietnamese export enterprises in enhancing their capabilities to independently operate cross-border e-commerce in the next phase.
Vietnam’s e-commerce market is witnessing impressive growth, with a scale expected to reach $25 billion by 2024, a 20% increase from the previous year, placing it in the top 3 in Southeast Asia.
This year’s event is anticipated not only to offer strategic insights into e-commerce market trends but also to serve as a catalyst for Vietnamese businesses to take charge of their brand building, enhance governance capabilities, and make a breakthrough in the global e-commerce arena.
With its scale and rich content, the event promises to be an excellent opportunity for domestic and international businesses to collaborate and jointly create a sustainable, modern e-commerce ecosystem deeply integrated with the global supply chain.
