The Thành An mansion is located along National Highway 47 in Sầm Sơn ward, Thanh Hóa province. Locally known as the “White Mansion,” it belongs to Thanh Hóa tycoon Cao Tiến Đoan (aka “Bầu Đoan”), renowned for his grand projects spanning 50,000m².
Locals report that the estate comprises various structures and amenities resembling an eco-resort. Years ago, the owner purchased additional land from neighbors to expand the compound.
The main building, painted white, is the centerpiece known as the “White Mansion.”
Inside, wooden-pillar houses with tiled roofs showcase a unique blend of European and Asian architecture. Sloping roofs, spires, gardens, ponds, and greenery create a harmonious ensemble.
Highlights include a pine hill, ornamental fish pond, crescent bridge, and areas dedicated to cypresses, bonsai, and rockeries.
Nearby, traditional stilt houses with tiled roofs stand amidst lush greenery.
Behind the compound lies a dedicated area for nurturing bonsai and ornamental plants.
Surrounding the estate are 5-meter-high walls with mica-steel windows. A paved road, built by the tycoon, runs parallel to a natural river, enhancing the property’s feng shui.
In late August, Thanh Hóa Provincial Police issued an emergency arrest warrant for Cao Tiến Đoan on charges of accounting violations. By September 8, he faced additional charges for “Violating auction regulations.”
Born in 1960, Cao Tiến Đoan (aka “Bầu Đoan”) serves as CEO of Đông Á Real Estate Group. His conglomerate has invested trillions of VND in urban and eco-tourism projects across Thanh Hóa.
