On September 25, 2025, HD Cryptocurrency Asset Trading Joint Stock Company (HDEX) was established with an initial charter capital of 200 billion VND.

HD Securities JSC (HDS), in which HDBank holds a 30% stake, recently sought shareholder approval for a plan to issue 365 million shares to existing shareholders to increase its charter capital to over 5.1 trillion VND. Notably, HD Securities plans to invest 1.47 trillion VND in a cryptocurrency asset trading platform named HD Cryptocurrency Asset Trading JSC. This move will be executed after the company raises its charter capital to 10 trillion VND.

However, in its latest announcement, HD Securities JSC has disclosed a Board Resolution to halt the implementation of the share issuance plan to existing shareholders for capital increase. The reason cited is the company’s alternative plan related to share issuance for capital augmentation.

Earlier in October, HDBank successfully issued $50 million in international green bonds to the International Finance Corporation (IFC).

Also in October, HDBank’s Board of Directors approved a resolution on October 27 authorizing Vikki Bank to purchase debt from HDBank.

On October 10, as part of the first Vietnam Private Economic Panorama Program (ViPEL 2025), a cooperation agreement was signed between the People’s Committee of Ho Chi Minh City and Sovico Group for the development of the Metro Line 4 project (Dong Thanh – Hiep Phuoc Urban Area).

Previously, in June 2025, Sovico Group proposed to study the investment in Metro Line 4, stretching from the former Hoc Mon District to the Hiep Phuoc Urban Area in the former Nha Be District. The total length of the line is approximately 47.3 km, including over 25 km underground and nearly 22 km elevated. The line will feature 37 stations and two depots, one in Dong Thanh and another in Hiep Phuoc.

On October 26, 2025, Vietjet launched a new route connecting Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, with Da Nang, Vietnam, marking the third route between the two countries.

On October 28, Vietjet and the University of Oxford announced the results of their Net Zero research initiative for global aviation, during the official visit of General Secretary To Lam to the United Kingdom.

During the same visit, General Secretary To Lam participated in the launch of the Oxford Pioneer Scholarship Scheme at the University of Oxford. Dr. Nguyen Thi Phuong Thao contributed £13.7 million to the Pioneer Scholarship Fund, which will provide long-term study and research opportunities for outstanding postgraduate students, particularly from Vietnam.

From October 13 onwards, Vietjet’s stock (VJC) and the assets of billionaire Nguyen Thi Phuong Thao have set new records.

By the close of trading on October 31, VJC shares were priced at 187,000 VND per share, a 40% increase since October 13.

According to Forbes’ real-time rankings as of October 31, Nguyen Thi Phuong Thao’s net worth reached $4.4 billion, placing her 931st globally.
