During the meeting, Lieutenant General Tao Duc Thang, Chairman and CEO of Viettel, reported that in the 2021-2025 period, the group’s production, business, and revenue targets were all met or exceeded. Notably, in 2025, Viettel achieved several “breakthrough” results, surpassing expectations.
Lieutenant General Tao Duc Thang also detailed Viettel’s activities in telecommunications, e-commerce, logistics, high-tech products, information technology, digital solutions, defense industry, and restructuring efforts, including equitization, capital withdrawal, and ownership reduction. He highlighted challenges and proposed solutions to enhance the group’s operational efficiency moving forward.
Looking ahead, Viettel plans to accelerate the application of science and technology, optimize management processes, streamline organizational structures, and attract top-tier talent. The group also urged relevant authorities to develop a strategic plan to support Vietnamese businesses in expanding internationally in a systematic and sustainable manner.
Representatives from the Government Office, Ministry of Finance, Ministry of Science and Technology, Ministry of Home Affairs, Ministry of Justice, Enterprise Renovation Steering Committee, and Ministry of National Defense praised Viettel’s impressive growth and contributions to both business and social welfare.
Additionally, these agencies provided feedback on Viettel’s proposals regarding restructuring, capital withdrawal, charter capital increase, IPO registration, and strategies to enhance Vietnamese enterprises’ competitive advantages in overseas investments. They also discussed policies to attract leading engineers and experts in science, technology, innovation, and digital transformation.

Concluding the meeting, Deputy Prime Minister Ho Duc Phoc commended Viettel’s comprehensive achievements. The group not only solidified its position as a leading brand but also ranked among the top 10 tax contributors nationwide.
Across all sectors—telecommunications, information technology, digital services, express delivery, logistics, cybersecurity, defense industry, and international investments—Viettel has achieved remarkable success. Many of its products have reached global intellectual heights, dominating world-class standards.
Beyond business operations, Viettel has pioneered efforts to bring telecom services to remote areas and actively contributed to social welfare initiatives.
Endorsing Viettel’s strategies, Deputy Prime Minister Ho Duc Phoc provided specific feedback on the group’s proposals, emphasizing the need to build on existing successes. He urged Viettel to develop comprehensive production and business plans, focusing on workforce, capital, technology, and market solutions to achieve higher growth targets.
Additionally, he called on Viettel to continue developing a strong team of experts, leveraging high-quality talent, advancing the defense industry, and investing in cutting-edge technologies such as data science, digital solutions, AI, and chip manufacturing linked to rare earth materials. He also encouraged further international expansion to ensure the group’s sustained and robust growth.
