During the second Extraordinary General Meeting of FLC Group’s shareholders, CEO Bui Hai Huyen shared significant updates regarding the reacquisition of Tre Viet Aviation Joint Stock Company (Bamboo Airways).
Ms. Huyen emphasized that FLC Group’s decision to reassume ownership, management, and operational control of Bamboo Airways was made after careful consideration, comprehensive evaluation, and full compliance with legal regulations. This decision stemmed from a proposal by Mr. Le Thai Sam, Chairman of Bamboo Airways, which FLC Group agreed to, taking over the airline’s ownership and management.
Regarding the impact on operational capacity and resource allocation, Ms. Huyen acknowledged that reacquiring Bamboo Airways amid FLC Group’s comprehensive restructuring efforts was a challenging decision. However, the initiative was built on core principles: ensuring no disruption to the group’s restructuring process, implementing a timeline aligned with current financial and human resources, and maintaining strict risk control to ensure FLC’s long-term stability and safety.
Prior to the agreement, FLC Group conducted a thorough assessment and developed an appropriate management model for Bamboo Airways during the restructuring phase. These strategies ensure relative independence between Bamboo Airways’ operations and FLC Group’s real estate and tourism investments, preventing resource overlap and fragmentation.

Additionally, FLC Group is actively collaborating with domestic and international partners experienced in aviation, aircraft leasing, and finance to explore cooperative solutions, technical support, and capital mobilization for Bamboo Airways. Resource mobilization will be conducted cautiously, incrementally, and in line with the group’s current financial capabilities.
According to the plan, FLC Group will submit a detailed report on Bamboo Airways’ development strategy for 2025-2030 to the Prime Minister and present it at the 2026 Annual General Meeting of Shareholders.
At Bamboo Airways’ Extraordinary General Meeting in September 2025, Chairman Le Thai Sam admitted that the previous restructuring efforts “fell short of expectations” and proposed that FLC Group reassume ownership, management, and operational control.
Bamboo Airways, born from entrepreneur Trinh Van Quyet’s aviation aspirations, now returns under FLC Group’s direct management, becoming a strategic cornerstone in the group’s revitalization journey.
