Recent observations at gas stations in Ho Chi Minh City selling biofuel E10 reveal a significant increase in customers opting for this fuel type. Notably, taxis, company vehicles, and government agency cars are predominantly choosing biofuel. Even individual car owners are no longer distinguishing between biofuel and mineral gasoline when refueling.

Mr. Phạm Anh Tuấn, manager of the Petrolimex gas station in Bến Thành Ward, reported that initial sales of E10 were modest but have steadily risen to over 1 m³ per day.

Similarly, Mr. Nguyễn Huy Hậu, manager of the Petrolimex station in An Khánh Ward, noted an increase from 1–2 m³ to over 4 m³ per day. Many drivers have reported no issues after using E10, with their vehicles performing well.

Many drivers are choosing biofuel when refueling.

According to Mr. Tuấn, to boost E10 sales, a price support policy is needed, making it approximately 1,500 VND/liter cheaper than mineral gasoline. Additionally, authorities should regularly and widely promote the benefits of biofuel to build consumer confidence.

Vietnam Oil and Gas Group (PVOIL) reports that after over three months of pilot sales, four stations in Hanoi sell about 20 m³ of E10 daily. In the Central region, five stations have sold between 120–150 m³ each over the past three months.

Petrolimex data shows that 36 stations in Ho Chi Minh City (pre-merger) sell approximately 40 m³ of E10 daily. By the end of October, these stations had sold around 5,000 m³ of E10.
