The Da Nang Department of Finance has officially announced the sale of five passenger vehicles that have reached the end of their service life and are no longer fit for road use. This initiative aims to optimize the use of public assets and boost local budget revenue.

All vehicles subject to liquidation are Toyota Hiace models, manufactured between 1999 and 2003. The listed prices are remarkably low, ranging from 14.8 million to 15.2 million VND per vehicle, excluding value-added tax. These government-owned vehicles were previously managed by various entities, including the Dermatology Hospital, the former Hoa Vang District Health Center, the City Guesthouse, and Le Quy Don High School, and were recalled in September following a decision by the Chairman of the Da Nang People’s Committee.

The liquidation process will follow a price listing method.

Interested individuals and organizations can inspect the assets and related documents during office hours from 10:00 AM to 5:00 PM on November 14th at the Department of Finance, located within the City Administrative Center.

The official price listing sale will take place at 2:00 PM on November 19th at the Department of Finance. Immediately following the sale, the selection process for eligible buyers will commence, with confirmation from all involved parties.

This move is part of Da Nang’s ongoing efforts to manage surplus and outdated government vehicles. In April, the city approved starting prices for the auction of ten other surplus vehicles, with prices varying widely, reaching up to over 470 million VND.

Among these, a 2009 Mercedes-Benz E300 (W212) had the highest starting price, at nearly 471 million VND.

Other vehicles, such as the Ford Everest UV9F and Hyundai Sonata, had starting prices ranging from 15 million VND to over 400 million VND.

According to the plan to merge Quang Nam Province and Da Nang City, the combined total of government vehicles post-merger will be 760, with Da Nang contributing 470 vehicles and Quang Nam 290.

Accelerating the liquidation of public assets helps optimize state asset management and contributes additional revenue to the local budget.
