VinFast VF 7 Spotted in India: Equipped with ADAS and 360-Degree Camera, Possibly Not Locally Assembled

The VinFast VF 7, spotted in Mumbai, India, sports a sleek Jet Black color, one of the exquisite options offered by VinFast, alongside White Brahimny, Crimson Red, and Neptune Grey. The spy shots reveal the front end, wheels, tires, and front doors.

Compared to the VF 7 showcased at Auto Expo 2025 in Crimson Red with 20-inch wheels and Goodyear Eagle F1 tires, the Mumbai prototype features new 19-inch rims fitted with Apollo Aspire 245/50 R19 tires. The use of smaller wheels is understandable, as manufacturers often adjust wheel sizes to suit Indian road conditions, ensuring optimal performance.

Additional features observed in these images include a camera-based ADAS system and cameras on the side mirrors, indicating a 360-degree camera setup. A large infotainment screen is also visible, although its size, either 15 or 12.9 inches, is unclear.

The VF 7 is expected to be offered in India in two variants: Eco and Plus, similar to other international markets. Both variants share the same 75.3kWh battery pack. The Eco version features a front-mounted electric motor producing 204 horsepower and 310Nm of torque. Meanwhile, the Plus variant boasts a dual-motor all-wheel-drive system with a combined output of 354 horsepower and 500Nm of torque. VinFast claims a WLTP-certified range of 450km for the Eco and 431km for the Plus variant.

Local assembly of the VF 7 at VinFast’s new plant in Tamil Nadu, India, will enable competitive pricing for this e-SUV, estimated to fall in the range of 20-30 lakh INR (608-912 million VND). VinFast is also considering a battery leasing program, similar to MG Motor India’s Battery-as-a-Service (BaaS) initiative, to reduce upfront costs for customers. The VF 7 on display at Auto Expo 2025 garnered significant attention.
