This achievement stems from MSB’s Ultra-Fast Digital Card Issuance Solution, a groundbreaking online credit card issuance service tailored for individual customers. Recognized by Enterprise Asia—a prestigious international organization in sustainable development and innovation—this accolade not only highlights MSB’s pioneering use of technology but also marks a significant milestone for MSB Retail Bank in enhancing digital financial experiences for Vietnamese consumers.
The International Innovation Awards (IIA) 2025 celebrates businesses with outstanding contributions to innovation in products, services, operations, or corporate culture. This year, the judging panel evaluated hundreds of submissions from organizations across Asia. In a fiercely competitive financial and banking market, MSB’s repeated success at this international award underscores the effectiveness of its comprehensive digital transformation strategy, particularly in retail banking—a key long-term growth area for the bank.
MSB’s ultra-fast credit card issuance solution is designed to streamline the entire customer journey, from application to card ownership. Customers are no longer required to provide income verification documents or navigate complex traditional procedures. Instead, MSB employs automated underwriting and big data analytics, enabling approvals in just 10 minutes, with customers receiving and using their cards immediately.

Beyond speed, MSB’s solution is highly regarded for its robust personalization, catering to diverse financial needs across customer segments. MSB offers a comprehensive credit card portfolio, ranging from travel cashback and online shopping rewards to family-oriented and cash withdrawal cards. Each card type features tailored benefits, delivering high practical value and aligning with modern Vietnamese spending habits. This diversity enables MSB to target multiple user segments, solidifying its position as a leading bank with a comprehensive card ecosystem.
Shortly after its launch, the ultra-fast online credit card issuance service has delivered impressive business results for MSB Retail Bank. Over 180,000 customers have applied for cards online, with more than 34,000 approved. Post-approval card usage rates have reached nearly 90%. The total credit limit issued through this channel has surpassed 1 trillion VND, establishing it as a key growth driver for MSB’s card business.
This solution also demonstrates MSB’s strong commitment to transaction security, a critical factor as customers increasingly embrace digital finance. The bank employs EMV 3D Secure and biometric authentication to safeguard customer information and transactions. On the MSB mBank digital banking app, users can enhance security by enabling or disabling transaction types (ATM withdrawals, POS payments, online transactions), adjusting daily transaction limits, and monitoring real-time usage history.
Another standout feature of MSB’s system is its support for one-tap payments through integrations with global platforms like Apple Pay, Samsung Pay, Google Pay, and Garmin Pay. These integrations reduce transaction times, enhance user experience, and maintain security, reflecting MSB’s efforts to keep pace with the booming digital payment trends in Vietnam and globally.
In December, MSB will launch an upgraded version of its ultra-fast digital card issuance flow on the new MSB Mobile App, offering an even more intuitive, optimized, and personalized experience.
The IIA 2025 award is not only international recognition but also a catalyst for MSB to continue investing in technology, data, and digital ecosystems. The bank aims to develop flexible, streamlined, and deeply personalized solutions tailored to each customer segment, thereby improving service quality and strengthening its position in retail banking.
