Mazda CX-30 2024 Unveiled in North America: Enhanced Screen, Added Features, Set to Compete with Corolla Cross in Vietnam

This is not just a facelift of the Mazda CX-30, but an upgraded version with enhanced features.

The Mazda CX-30 in the Philippines has received minor changes to its entertainment system, design, and added safety features.

On the exterior, the grille has been changed to a dark chrome finish, and the area surrounding the windows is painted in contrasting gloss black Piano with the body color. The accompanying wheels are 18-inch, 5-spoke black gloss painted.

The 2024 Mazda CX-30 in the Philippines has minor exterior changes.

Inside the cabin, door handles, dashboard accents, ventilation and air conditioning knobs, and gear shift are adorned with gunmetal gray accents.

The entire seats of the new Mazda CX-30 are upholstered in brown leather with black suede in the middle. If customers prefer, they can opt for all-black seats with brown stitching accents. The seats remain ergonomic, providing back support.

The two-tone leather seats are a new option for the 2024 Mazda CX-30.

One of the major changes inside the cabin is the upgraded 10.25-inch infotainment screen, which can display more information, but still lacks touch functionality. Another upgrade is the wireless Apple CarPlay connectivity (Android Auto still requires a wired connection). Currently, in Vietnam, the Mazda CX-30 uses an 8.8-inch center display and does not have wireless connectivity.

Other features on the Mazda CX-30 include a 12-speaker Bose audio system, power-adjustable sunroof, heads-up display, 360-degree camera, wireless charging, and power liftgate.

The Mazda CX-30’s screen in the Philippines has been upgraded to a larger 10.25-inch display compared to the previous version.

In terms of safety features, the 2024 Mazda CX-30 has added new features within the i-Activsense package, including Front Cross Traffic Alert (FCTA) combined with Forward Collision Brake Support (FCBS), Rear Cross Traffic Brake Support (RCBS), and Driver Monitoring System (DMS). The adaptive LED headlights of the 2024 Mazda CX-30 now have the ability to automatically activate/deactivate individual bright areas of the headlight to avoid dazzling approaching vehicles.

In addition, active safety features such as adaptive cruise control, Smart City Brake Support (Front/Rear), Forward Obstruction Warning, Lane Departure Warning and Lane Keep Assist, Blind Spot Monitoring, and 7 airbags, as well as front/rear sensors, remain unchanged from the previous version. According to TopGear Philippines, this is the safest CX-30 version to date.

The 2024 Mazda CX-30 in the Philippines is equipped with a 2.0L e-Skyactiv-G engine coupled with a 24V hybrid electric system. According to the Japanese automaker, surplus energy during braking will be recharged into a 0.216 kWh battery. In some cases, the CX-30 can operate solely on the electric motor with a power output of 7 horsepower and a maximum torque of 49 Nm. The total output of the 2024 Mazda CX-30’s engine is 162 horsepower and 213 Nm of torque, paired with a 6-speed automatic transmission.

With these notable upgrades, the Mazda CX-30 in the Philippines has a listed price of 878.8 million VND. Compared to the previous version, the 2024 CX-30 only sees a slight increase of 5,000 Peso (approximately 2.2 million VND).
