A 2010 Volkswagen Scirocco is being sold on the used car market. The seller said that the car was bought back from the previous owner in August 2023 for VND 430 million. After more than half a year of use, many parts and components of the car have been replaced, costing a “considerable amount of money” to operate smoothly and stably. However, the current owner is still willing to sell it for VND 295 million, or a loss of VND 135 million.

For VND 295 million, lower than the price of a brand new manual Kia Morning (VND 349 million), the buyer will receive a Volkswagen Scirocco with a strong German chassis system, engine, and driving experience.
However, as a 14-year-old European car, minor breakdowns can still occur. Users have to accept the fact that the car will start to deteriorate, and the aging details will require more maintenance and repair costs.
Volkswagen Scirocco in Vietnam has also been rumored to have a gearbox control issue, which leads to a rapid depreciation of this model. However, the car in question has been fitted with a new gearbox control, ECU, turbocharger, ABS system, etc., so future owners can be somewhat reassured.
This Volkswagen Scirocco has a white exterior paint with a contrasting black roof. The 5 twin-spoke wheels have a two-tone color. Overall, the exterior quality is quite good, and the car’s paint still has a shiny finish, so it does not require too much “refurbishment”.
Inside the cabin, the seats are covered with cowhide-like material and have wrinkles, losing their tightness. The sides of the steering wheel have become smooth due to frequent use. The central entertainment screen has been replaced with an Android screen to enhance the entertainment capabilities. Other amenities inside the cabin include power-adjustable seats, 2-zone air conditioning, front seat heating, auto-dimming mirrors, and automatic headlights.
The car uses a 1.4L turbocharged engine, producing 160 horsepower and 240 Nm of torque, paired with a 7-speed dual-clutch DSG gearbox and front-wheel drive. In addition, the Volkswagen Scirocco also has a 2.0L engine option with higher power output, using a 6-speed wet dual-clutch DSG gearbox.
