According to the representatives of Vietlott, ticket sales are conducted through terminal devices at sales points and via phone (Vietlott SMS app). Therefore, the company has specific regulations regarding prize claiming for tickets sold through each sales channel.
For Jackpot-winning tickets purchased at sales points (paper tickets) worth over 10 billion VND, winners can go to Vietlott branches (Ho Chi Minh City, Can Tho, Ba Ria – Vung Tau, Khanh Hoa, Nghe An, Hai Phong) to claim their prizes. The branch will organize the prize payout according to the regulations.
Accordingly, Vietlott will check information such as number series, value, drawing date, ticket purchase date and time, ticket sales point code, matching ticket code with winning information on the system. At the same time, Vietlott’s officers will verify the winner’s personal documents against the information provided on the back of the ticket.
For tickets purchased via phone (Vietlott SMS app – e-tickets), customers who win prizes over 10 billion VND need to come to Vietlott’s headquarters (Hanoi) to claim their prizes.
When the winner presents a winning Jackpot ticket, whether it is a paper ticket or an e-ticket, Vietlott’s officers will receive it along with valid personal documents, which remain effective according to the law.
For Jackpot-winning e-ticket buyers, the winner’s information must match the information registered in the participating account.
After Vietlott verifies the matching information with the system, the Jackpot winner will fill out personal information on the prize claim form, transfer request form, and personal income tax deduction voucher request form.
Especially, on the prize claim form, the player will choose whether to disclose their personal information publicly or not. Within a maximum of 5 working days, the Jackpot winner will receive the prize from Vietlott.
Reporters from Bao Người Lao Động newspaper have attended and witnessed dozens of Jackpot award ceremonies organized by Vietlott. These ceremonies always have the presence of representatives from ministries, authorities, independent auditors, invited guests, and the press.
At each award ceremony, if the Jackpot winner chooses the option of not disclosing their identity, the ceremony will take place in 2 parts: the winner without a mask and the winner with a mask.

At the same time, all attendees of the award ceremony and representatives of the press must sign a confidentiality agreement to ensure the winner’s information is not disclosed in any form.

The entire Jackpot award ceremony process will be recorded and stored on a memory card. This card will be sealed and stored by Vietlott to ensure transparency and serve inspection and examination by relevant authorities.
