Speaking at a New Year meeting on the first working day of the Ministry of Labor, Invalids and Social Affairs after the Tet holiday, held on the morning of February 15, Minister Dao Ngoc Dung stated that in 2024, a comprehensive reform of salary policies will be implemented in accordance with Resolution No. 27-NQ / TW. Salary reform must go hand in hand with adjusting pension policies in the spirit of “not letting retirees fall into difficulties and disadvantages when reforming”.

When salary reform increases the general salary level for all workers nationwide and pension is not well adjusted, pension recipients suffer a lot.

Therefore, it is necessary to calculate a balance and harmony. If the salary of civil servants and officials increases by 23.5%, then pension must increase by at least 15%.
