Vissan Corporation, officially back to normal operations from February 15 (the 6th day of Tet holiday), has organized workers to work 2 shifts per day to catch up with the post-Tet order deadline. Previously, from the night of the 4th to the morning of the 5th day of Tet, the production department began to light up again to slaughter pigs and cows to supply to the market.

Mr. Nguyen Phuc Khoa, Chairman of Vissan Corporation’s Board of Directors, said that in the Tet holiday period, Vissan Corporation was highly professional in the preparation, supply, production coordination, and supply of essential food products to the market, ensuring timely and sufficient supply of essential food products to the market. , and also does not leave too much excess inventory after Tet.

Vissan Corporation speeds up production from the beginning of the year

According to Mr. Khoa, in the past Tet business season, the company adjusted its production and business according to market demand. As a result, after Tet, the inventory of sausage and luncheon meat in the warehouse and on the market was very low. Another reason for Vissan Corporation to speed up production from the beginning of the year is to meet the deadline for a 135-ton canned goods order for Truong Sa.

“The goods have been sold out, so on the 6th day of Tet, Vissan Corporation officially started production to have new products on the market, instead of stagnating production like last year” – Mr. Khoa said.

Meanwhile, Mr. Nguyen Van Thu, Chairman of the Board of Directors of GC Food Joint Stock Company (GC Food), also said that the company resumed operations on February 15. On the opening day of the year, GC Food received many orders and the company immediately delivered nearly 60 tons of goods, mainly aloe vera and coconut jelly, to domestic customers. Compared to the same period last year, the volume of goods sold doubled – which is a very favorable start when there are large-volume orders, measured in containers.

“The reason why customers imported goods at the beginning of the year is that the consumption of the past Tet holiday was good, not decreasing as projected. Therefore, customers were cautious, imported goods in small quantities and ran out of stock, so they had to replenish goods immediately at the beginning of the year. In addition, at the beginning of the year, there were hot waves that made the company’s aloe vera and coconut jelly products in high demand in the market” – Mr. Thu analyzed.

According to Mr. Thu, next week, GC Food will have its first export shipment after Tet. Through working with import partners, GC Food sees that the global economy is recovering and surely will be better than 2023, so the company sets a target of 30% export growth in 2024.

Currently, consumers are no longer too focused on saving but are willing to open their wallets for shopping – although not to the extent of a boom, especially for healthy food groups. That is the basis for the company to set a higher export growth target than last year (2023 increased by 25% compared to 2022).
