Strong Increase in Foreign Exchange Transactions
According to data from the International Cooperation Bureau, Ministry of Education and Training, there are currently nearly 200,000 Vietnamese students studying abroad at various levels of secondary, tertiary, and postgraduate education, which is about 2.5 times higher than the period before 2013. This means that every year, Vietnam has more than 40,000 young people going abroad to seek educational and personal development opportunities.
Meanwhile, the number of Vietnamese workers living and working abroad has also increased significantly. Statistics from the Ministry of Labor – Invalids and Social Affairs show that in 2023 alone, the total number of Vietnamese workers working overseas reached 159,986 – a record high to date.
With Vietnam’s integration into the world, the demand for foreign exchange and remittances to abroad is increasing rapidly. The purposes of remittances are also becoming more diverse, from studying abroad, providing allowances for relatives living and working abroad, to immigration, inheritance, medical treatment, or foreign trade.
International Money Transfer – Accompanying As Desired
Since the beginning of last year, Ms. Thuy Ha (48 years old, Hanoi) has been researching many forms of international money transfer. Her current choice is transferring through National Commercial Bank (NCB) because it is safe, fast, and cost-effective.
“After losing money through the “black market” service on the Internet, I only trust official channels such as banks, which are both reassuring and offer incentives,” said Ms. Ha.
Like Ms. Ha, many parents and customers are also using banking channels to send love to their relatives in faraway places and create a solid financial foundation. Among them, NCB Bank is currently considered one of the favorite choices of customers because of its professional, safe, and attentive service. Especially, in this Lunar New Year, NCB is implementing the program “International Money Transfer – Accompanying As Desired” to help customers reduce the cost of cross-border transactions.
Accordingly, NCB offers free money transfer (excluding electricity and OUR fees) for all individual customers using the bank’s international payment service from now until March 31, 2024. With this attractive offer, NCB aims to give a small gift of gratitude to customers who have been associated with the bank for some time, while also becoming a bridge to sending love between customers and their distant relatives.
Not only offering fee incentives, the bank also gives lucky New Year money to customers who make international money transfers. Specifically, from now until February 21, 2024, NCB will give $16 in cash to customers who have international money transfers ranging from $10,000 to $30,000. For transactions of $30,000 or more, customers will receive $26 in cash.
The lucky money will be given to customers in VND, converted at the exchange rate at the time of the transaction. Each customer will receive 01 lucky New Year money envelope throughout the program.
In recent years, in addition to highly-rated services such as guarantee and savings, NCB’s international money transfer service has become more popular among customers thanks to its simple procedures, secure information, and low costs. With these new year offers, NCB continues to affirm its progress in providing a different international money transfer experience for individual customers, emphasizing convenience, information security, and cost optimization.
