VIX Stock No Longer a Major Shareholder of HJS

VIX Securities Joint Stock Company (HOSE: VIX) recently divested 1.65 million shares of Nậm Mu Hydropower Joint Stock Company (HNX: HJS) on February 19th, reducing its ownership percentage to below 5% and no longer being a major shareholder of HJS.

After divesting 1.65 million shares, VIX‘s ownership stake in HJS decreased from 12.64% (nearly 2.66 million shares) to 4.79% (over 1 million shares).

On February 19th, exactly 1.65 million shares of HJS were traded through agreement, with a total value of 59 billion VND.

Prior to that, on February 6th, VIX had divested 1.36 million HJS shares through agreement, in order to reduce their ownership stake from 19.12% (over 4 million shares) to 12.64% (nearly 2.66 million shares), earning nearly 49 billion VND.

The total amount of money VIX received after 2 consecutive transactions of selling HJS shares is estimated to be nearly 108 billion VND.

Regarding the business results of HJS, in 2023, the company achieved net revenue of 159 billion VND and after-tax profit of 54 billion VND, a decrease of 11% and 6% respectively compared to the previous year, surpassing the after-tax profit target of 2023 (53 billion VND) by 2%. Net profit was nearly 54 billion VND, a decrease of 6%.
