Vinh Phuc province’s development plan for the period of 2021-2030, with a vision toward 2050, has just been approved by the Prime Minister. By 2030, the province aims to plan for an additional 5 new industrial parks, bringing the total number of planned industrial parks to 24.

The plan specifies that the development of new industrial parks will be established when there is additional land use and meets the conditions specified by the law on industrial parks.
The demand for development of industrial parks after 2030 is projected to be 7,000 hectares and the vision by 2050 is to have a total of 10,000 hectares. Among them, priority will be given to the development of new industrial parks along key transportation axes such as the Hanoi – Lao Cai expressway, the Belt Road 4, and Belt Road 5.
Regarding the direction for the development of industrial clusters, the approved provincial plan states that by 2030, there will be 31 new industrial clusters developed, bringing the total number of industrial clusters in the province to 47. By 2050, the entire province will have 51 industrial clusters.

The development goal by 2030 is for the province to be a leading locality in the country in terms of average GRDP per capita growth, with a synchronized and modern infrastructure that meets the criteria of a type I urban area, laying the foundation to become a centrally-run city; the economic structure will shift towards a digital economy, a circular economy, a knowledge-based economy, and be the nucleus to promote the development of modern industry and services in the Red River Delta region; improve the living standards of the people, have an advanced and rich cultural background, a harmonious society, and a clean and livable ecological environment.
By 2050, Vinh Phuc is envisioned to be a centrally-run city, comprehensively developed in all aspects of economy, society, and environment; the people will have a high standard of living and happiness… According to the Vinh Phuc Provincial People’s Committee, the plan’s announcement ceremony is scheduled to take place on March 5, 2024.
