The founder of one of the most active altcoins in the past summer has made a large transfer to Binance during the price hike.
Wallet 0xce5, associated with the founder of Curve Finance (CRV), Michael Egorov, has sent 5 million CRV (2.93 million USD) to the cryptocurrency exchange Binance. The deposit was made when the price of CRV was 0.585 USD.
At the time of writing this article, the price of CRV is trading at 0.6318 USD.
This development is noteworthy as the wallet has purchased a total of 15 million CRV on August 15, 2023.
As of now, Wallet 0xce5 still holds 10 million CRV worth 5.86 million USD. These funds will be unlocked on August 7, 2024.
The price of CRV has increased by about 10% in the past 24 hours.
Curve Finance was a victim of a major hack attack last August, Egorov had to sell a large amount of CRV tokens at a low price to avoid liquidation.
