Foreign players “throw” 450 billion VND to accumulate HPG stocks on February 27th session

Foreign trading was fairly balanced during the VN-Index session, with a strong start to trading.

The VN-Index had a strong breakthrough in the session on 27/2 thanks to the consensus of many leading stocks, with the spotlight on HPG. The market closed the session with a gain of 13.29 points to 1,237 points, reaching the highest level in the past 6 months. Liquidity improved compared to the previous session with a trading value on HOSE reaching over VND 21,500 billion.

In terms of foreign trading, they net bought VND 55 billion across the market.

On HOSE, foreign investors net bought with an approximate value of 40 billion dong.

In terms of buying activity, the net buying focus was on HPG and SSI stocks with values of VND 450 billion and VND 131 billion. The net buying momentum of foreign investors took place in the session when both HPG and SSI stocks recorded positive growth. In addition, DGC and BID stocks were also net bought on HoSE with VND 89 billion and VND 54 billion.

On the contrary, STB experienced the strongest selling pressure from foreign investors with a value of VND 87 billion, followed by VPB and PVD with selling volumes of VND 73 billion and VND 64 billion per stock.

On HNX, foreign investors net bought with a value of 32 billion dong.

In the buying session, IDC was the most strongly net bought with a value of VND 40 billion. In addition, SHS was ranked next in the list of strong net buying on HNX with VND 25 billion. Moreover, foreign investors also net bought CEO, VGS, MBS with relatively small values.

On the contrary, PVS was the stock that experienced the selling pressure from foreign investors with a value of VND 43 billion; VCS followed with a net selling volume of about VND 7 billion.

On UPCOM, foreign investors net sold with a value of 17 billion dong.

In the buying session, ACV shares were net bought by foreign investors with VND 4 billion. Following that, LTG and VAB were also net bought with each stock having VND 1.3 billion and 0.4 billion.

On the other hand, QNS was net sold by foreign investors today with a volume of approximately VND 15 billion; in addition, they also net sold in VTP, VEA, BSR,…
