On February 28, Vương Quốc Tuấn, Deputy Chairman of the Provincial People’s Committee of Bắc Ninh province, received and worked with Kine SIC Semi Company (USA) led by Mr. Johnny Nguyen, Deputy Chairman of the Board of Directors, to learn about the investment environment in Bắc Ninh province.
Mr. Johnny Nguyen said that Kine SIC Semi Company was established in the US in 2017, specialized in producing high-tech chips that can be applied in various fields. In particular, the company’s chip products have good quality with lower costs, suitable for the Southeast Asian market.
Emphasizing that Vietnam is a potential land with resources to create chips, Kine SIC Semi Company hopes that Bắc Ninh province will create conditions for them to invest in building a factory in the province with an initial area of 7,500m2 and a total investment of about 200 million USD.
Welcoming Kine SIC Semi Company to learn about the investment environment in Bắc Ninh province, Deputy Chairman of the Provincial People’s Committee Vương Quốc Tuấn introduced an overview of the province’s socio-economic development and investment attraction over the past time. The province currently has 16 concentrated industrial parks with an occupancy rate of over 90%, attracting more than 2,000 projects from countries and territories, including projects from the US.
In particular, in October 2023, Amkor Technology Group – a leading global company in semiconductor technology, packaging, and testing – inaugurated a manufacturing, assembly, and testing plant for semiconductor materials and equipment at Yên Phong II-C Industrial Park, Bắc Ninh province, with a total area of 23 hectares. This is an important milestone and a new driving force in the province’s high-tech industrial development in the future, helping to attract major investors worldwide.
Emphasizing the goal of becoming the semiconductor hub in the country, Deputy Chairman of the Provincial People’s Committee mentioned that besides enhancing administrative procedure reform and improving the investment business environment to actively attract investment, Bắc Ninh province has also paid attention to research and issue resolutions on supporting investment, training, and high-quality human resources in the semiconductor industry.
Deputy Chairman of the Provincial People’s Committee commits to creating the most favorable conditions for Kine SIC Semi Company to invest in Bắc Ninh province. The Department of Industrial Park Management of the province will be the focal point for exchange, coordination, and support to the company in the coming time.
