The project linking Ninh Thuan with Lam Dong will create additional connectivity between the plateau and the coastal region.
The content of the meeting focused on reviewing and approving the proposal of the Provincial People’s Committee to allocate more than 365 billion VND from the provincial budget to support Lam Dong province in implementing public investment activities for the project to connect from Tan Son town (Ninh Son district, Ninh Thuan province) to Ta Nang junction (Duc Trong district, Lam Dong province).
This project was approved by the National Assembly in 2023 in the pilot resolution on some specific policies for investment in road construction projects. The total length of the route is about 63.32 km, of which the section passing through Ninh Thuan province is about 46.22 km, and the section passing through Lam Dong province is about 17.1 km.
The Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development has submitted to the Prime Minister for consideration and approval the conversion of 1,858 hectares of forest in Lam Dong province to other purposes for the project.
The road will create connectivity between the Lam Dong – Ninh Thuan region and neighboring provinces, adding another route connecting the Central Highlands with the South Central region, and enhancing the transportation of goods between the coastal area and the plateau.
