The Petroleum Fertilizer Joint Stock Company of Cà Mau (DCM stock code) has just released its audited financial statements for 2023. Accordingly, in 2023, the company spent over 681 billion dong on labor costs, an increase of 14.2% compared to the previous year.
By the end of 2023, the number of employees of Cà Mau Fertilizer was 1,300. Therefore, the company spent an average of more than 524 million dong per employee in the past year, equivalent to about nearly 44 million dong per month. This figure includes various taxes and compulsory insurance based on salary – it will be higher than the actual income received. This can still be considered a high income level in Vietnam.
Regarding the salary and bonus of leaders, Mr. Tran Ngoc Nguyen, Chairman of the Board of Directors of Cà Mau Fertilizer, received 2.38 billion dong in 2023, equivalent to nearly 200 million dong per month. In addition, Mr. Van Tien Thanh, a member of the Board of Directors and former CEO, also had the same income as Mr. Ngọc Nguyên, nearly 200 million dong per month.
Regarding the business situation of Cà Mau Fertilizer, as of 2023, the company recorded revenue of 12,570 billion dong, net profit of 1,109 billion dong, a decrease of 21% and 74.3% respectively compared to 2022. Thus, this enterprise still achieved the target of more than 900 billion dong profit set in December 2023.
As of December 31, 2023, Cà Mau Fertilizer’s total assets reached 15,237 billion dong, an increase of over 1,000 billion dong compared to the beginning of the year. Of which, nearly 70% of the company’s assets are cash and deposits, reaching 10,526 billion dong – an increase of 1,000 billion dong compared to the beginning of the year. This amount has brought nearly 520 billion dong in interest for the business in the past year. Inventory decreased by more than 6% to 2,137 billion dong.
