On March 4, the People’s Committee of Bac Lieu Province organized a “coffee and breakfast session with businesses” to discuss and address difficulties and obstacles in production and business activities related to basic construction investment.
During the session, Mr. Pham Van Thieu, Chairman of the People’s Committee of Bac Lieu Province, shared with investors about the incident of a Nacelle and wind turbine blade falling at the Hoa Binh 5 wind power plant. The incident caused damages of about 200 billion VND to Hacom Bac Lieu Energy Joint Stock Company.
The leaders of Hoa Binh district, Bac Lieu Province said that the cause of the incident is urgently being clarified by relevant units. At the same time, they also requested long-term investors to regularly inspect to ensure safety and avoid similar incidents during operations.
As reported by the Nguoi Lao Dong newspaper, in the afternoon of March 1, wind turbine blade number 8 of the Hoa Binh 5 wind power plant in Vinh Thinh commune, Hoa Binh district suddenly broke and fell off the tower. Fortunately, no casualties were reported.
This wind power plant has a capacity of 80MW with a total investment of over 3,700 billion VND. The project is built on an area of over 27 hectares with 26 turbine towers, and the average exploitation output is 280 million kWh per year…
