Viettel Post Corporation, a subsidiary of Viettel Group, recently signed an agreement with Bangtuong City, China to establish a representative office and build a China-ASEAN agricultural trading center.

Prior to this, Viettel Post also signed an agreement with the Nam Ninh City government to focus on developing logistics and cross-border trade between China and Vietnam.

These are the steps taken by Viettel Post in implementing its logistics infrastructure development strategy, which includes a logistics park-center, import-export warehouse, and a comprehensive port to connect raw material regions, agricultural regions, and seafood regions with railway, sea, air, and customs checkpoints to reduce time and cost of goods circulation.

In Bangtuong, Viettel Post has also reached agreements with businesses on three main areas. Firstly, both parties cooperate to efficiently operate multi-modal transport conversion between road and rail via the Yen Vien – Dong Dang – Bangtuong – Nam Ninh intermodal route.

Secondly, both parties collaborate to establish the China-ASEAN agricultural trading center. Finally, both parties will learn, exchange designs, techniques, and technology to jointly promote the implementation of smart border gate plans.

“Improving cross-border transportation infrastructure will enhance Vietnam’s competitiveness and contribute to solving congestion and damage to goods at border checkpoints, thereby enhancing Vietnam’s logistics position in connecting ASEAN countries and China,” according to Viettel Post.
