The Hanoi People’s Council (HPC) at the 16th session approved the adjustment of the overall detailed plan at a 1/500 scale for a project at 148 Giang Vo, Ba Dinh District, according to Deputy Chairman of the Hanoi People’s Committee Duong Duc Tuan.

“This adjustment is very important. The Hanoi People’s Committee has consulted the Ministry of Construction, reached basic agreement, and reported to the Government. The previous plan included 10 buildings with 50 floors for residential purposes. The adjustment will remove the residential function and replace it with functions that are suitable for the area and meet the standards. Currently, the departments are working hard to implement the plan. The project’s design is expected to be approved by the end of 2023, at the latest in January 2024,” Deputy Chairman of the Hanoi People’s Committee said in response to questions at the 16th session of the HPC.

In a previous session of the 16th HPC, Director of the Hanoi Department of Planning and Architecture Nguyen Trong Ky Anh said that the 148 Giang Vo project had been approved with detailed planning since 2016. However, during the implementation, it faced some obstacles due to the opinions of the local community, so the project has been suspended since 2016.

According to a report from the Hanoi People’s Committee on the project’s implementation timeline, the project is planned to be deployed in 2023 and approved for implementation in the middle of 2023. Regarding the planning aspect, the Hanoi Department of Planning and Architecture has provided guidance to the investor for implementation. In addition, the department is coordinating the planning mission and the detailed planning project simultaneously.

Responding to this, Le Anh Quan, director of the Hanoi Department of Planning and Investment, said that regarding the planning aspect and related tasks, the Hanoi Department of Planning and Investment will quickly resolve and consider the difficulties and report to the competent authorities. The aim is to ensure that this year, the investor can propose and approve the project.

“We can only start construction in the fastest time possible in 2024,” Quan added.
