Located in a small alley in the Hoa people quarter at Cho Lon , the house is kept in its original structure and traditional architectural language to harmonize with the surrounding context.

The row houses opposite each other used to be the homes of Chinese merchant families. They represent a lifestyle that values close ties between families.

The structure of the house consists of two blocks, the upper and lower, with a common skylight. This is the solution to create ventilation to solve the problem of lack of light due to the long and narrow floor plan.

Renovating focuses on exploiting the value of skylights and continuing to connect the facade directly with the common courtyard to connect inside and outside, old and new. A new layer of roof is created to cover the old roof, which has the effect of cooling down, skylights and light slots are arranged precisely to take light from the roof down to the 2 floors of the house.

Creating a diagonal shade gives the guest area a very “poetic” style in the old manner.

Modern-style workspace for groups, simple and clean.
