In February, the number of new accounts decreased by more than 12,000 compared to the previous month (January 2023, the stock market had over 125,000 new accounts).
In February, the number of domestic individual accounts reached nearly 7.47 million accounts, accounting for 99.2% of the total market accounts.
The decrease in the number of new accounts occurred during the long Tet holiday in February. After Tet, the stock market experienced positive growth, with the VN-Index closing at 1,252.73 points in February 2023, an increase of 8% compared to the previous month.
