Recently, Ba Dinh District People’s Committee (Hanoi) organized a community consultation conference on the detailed plan for compact renovation and reconstruction of Thanh Cong apartment complex, including buildings: G6A, G6B, G22, G23, G24. It is known that these 5 tenements have become run-down, of which G6A tenement is considered the most dangerous (grade D), which could collapse at any time. Therefore, residents in G6A building have almost moved out. Thanh Cong Ward People’s Committee has erected a temporary fence around this building.

Thanh Cong Ward People’s Committee has also issued a danger warning at G6A building.

The stairs of G6A building are seriously deteriorated.

The apartment area in G6A building is no longer inhabited. Many apartments, the owners have moved out and emptied their belongings, without locking the door.

Right on the stairs of G6A building, there is also a notice board from Thanh Cong Ward People’s Committee about the status of the house.

Currently, G6B building still has residents. According to the plan of Ba Dinh District, residents of G6B building will also be relocated to temporary accommodation, waiting for the appropriate arrangement by the investor.

According to the plan, the total research area is more than 20,200m2, including more than 3,000m2 of land within the redline boundary and more than 17,100m2 of land outside the redline boundary. For the land outside the boundary, Ba Dinh District plans to renovate more than 4,200m2 of low-rise land according to the current situation; more than 3,800m2 of land for preschool, 566m2 of land for offices, and nearly 2,700m2 of land for resettlement houses; the remaining nearly 5,800m2 of land is for commercial service construction. It is known that currently, there are a total of 218 apartments in the above-mentioned old apartments and there will be 218 resettlement apartments in the resettlement apartment building built in the area of G6A, G6B tenements. The target of the resettlement area is about 771 people. This building is planned to be 24 stories high and has 3 basements.
