AIR QUALITY MANAGEMENT SYSTEMS FOR INDOOR ENVIRONMENT

Most of us think that environmental pollution only occurs on the streets or in industrial areas. In fact, indoor air pollution can be even more dangerous, including fine dust, carcinogens, harmful chemicals, bacteria,… which are the causes of diseases at all ages. Therefore, the TCVN 13521:2022 standard – Residential and public buildings – Indoor air quality parameters issued by the Vietnam Standards and Quality Institute (TCVN) aims to contribute to improving a healthy living and working environment.

Always pioneering in providing solutions aligned with the issued standards, while carrying out the mission of accompanying for a healthy and sustainable Vietnam, Panasonic has developed the Comprehensive Air Management Systems (CAMS) and put this system to test in real environments.

Panasonic’s Comprehensive Air Management System (CAMS) is a solution that continuously monitors temperature, humidity, CO2, and PM 2.5 levels through IAQ sensors and automatically controls air conditioning units and ventilation fans.

Easily monitor air quality parameters with the CAMS system.

Moreover, all the parameters managed by the CAMS system will be displayed through the Comfort Cloud application on smartphones for users to easily control the living environment anytime, anywhere. The CAMS system not only helps monitor important parameters such as CO2, PM2.5 fine dust concentration, temperature, and humidity but also automatically adjust airflow to ensure optimal comfort.

CAMS SYSTEM TESTING AT HOME

Panasonic officially conducted measurement and evaluation of the effectiveness of the CAMS system in improving indoor air quality at Architect Nguyen Duy Thanh’s house, who is known as a “community architect” with outstanding green architectural works characterized by simplicity, practicality, and superior functionality. Currently, he is a Master of Architecture, a lecturer in architecture at the University of Construction, and the Chief architect of 1+1>2 international architectural office.

Architect Nguyen Duy Thanh emphasized that in architecture and construction, projects not only demand aesthetics but also pay attention to human health. In which, air quality plays a vital role in creating a healthy living environment. He also shared that it is appropriate and necessary to conduct testing with Panasonic’s CAMS system, to record the effectiveness of air quality in real environments. At the same time, he expressed confidence and appreciation for the professionalism of Panasonic and the experts in this testing.

Participating in the testing, Panasonic provided support with equipment and the installation of the Comprehensive Air Management System (CAMS), including air conditioning, ventilation, remote IAQ control units, etc., making the survey easier. The Labor and Environment Monitoring and Analysis Station (WEMOS) played the role of the institution conducting testing with transparent monitoring and appropriate advice from VACEE – Vietnam Association for Building Environment.

The testing process is carried out professionally.

Despite the difficulties during the measurement process, Panasonic and the collaborating units have completed the process professionally and are eagerly awaiting the results of the testing. It can be seen that the recent air quality testing is a clear evidence for the research and development efforts of Panasonic in comprehensive health care solutions, aiming to fully meet the standards issued by the Government, while bringing a convenient and healthy life to the Vietnamese people.
