According to forecasts, domestic flight ticket prices will continue to decrease from the first week of April until before the April 30th – May 1st holiday.

In the first weekends of April, round-trip ticket prices for flights from Hanoi to famous tourist destinations like Nha Trang, Da Lat, Phu Quoc are quite “soft”. Specifically, the lowest round-trip prices for Hanoi – Phu Quoc is 3.4 million VND, for Hanoi – Nha Trang is 3.5 million VND, and for Hanoi – Da Lat is 3.6 million VND.

Answering VTC News, a representative of an airline said that the decrease in domestic flight ticket prices was because it has passed the Tet peak period, and the travel demand of passengers has cooled down. However, the “comfortable” price level only applies from now until the end of April. Starting from the April 30th holiday until the end of August, ticket prices will increase again due to the high travel demand of people during the holiday and summer.

Earlier, the Civil Aviation Authority requested airlines to actively coordinate with travel businesses to build programs and plans to exploit destinations in key tourism localities, in order to serve tourists during the April 30th – May 1st holiday and the summer peak 2024.

Airlines have to report their exploitation demands, increase flights, as well as propose adjustments in the takeoff and landing times; flight service time at airports during this period.

At the same time, based on resources, market demand, and optimizing aircraft operation hours, urgently develop plans to increase flights from now on on domestic routes from the North to the South, including increasing exploitation during the evening hours and at night in order to timely meet the travel needs of passengers.
