On March 15, VinFast Auto officially launched its brand in Thailand. At the same time, the brand announced that it will participate in the 45th Bangkok International Motor Show (BIMS 2024).
VinFast Auto’s decision to enter the booming electric vehicle market in the region affirms the company’s strength and strong determination in its global green transportation strategy.
To meet the transportation needs and affordability of various customer groups, the Vietnamese manufacturer is also bringing flexible after-sales and sales policies to bring VinFast electric cars closer to the Thai people and homes.
Ms. Vu Dang Yen Hang, General Director of VinFast Thailand, shared: “The brand launch in Thailand marks a significant milestone in VinFast’s global expansion strategy, reinforcing our presence in the most dynamic automotive hub in Southeast Asia.”
At the BIMS 2024 event, VinFast will for the first time introduce a full range of electric vehicle products in Southeast Asia, including the VF 3 mini-SUV; VF 5, VF e34, VF 6, VF 7, VF 8, and VF 9 in the A-SUV to E-SUV segments, as well as the VF Wild – an electric pickup truck concept.
Among them, the VF 5, VF e34, VF 6, VF 7, VF 8, and VF 9 models are all right-hand drive versions, suitable for the Thai market.
By bringing the entire range of electric vehicles to BIMS 2024, VinFast demonstrates its ambition to compete in the Thai market, which is the largest automobile manufacturing and exporting country in the region and is known as the “Detroit of Asia.”
Thailand is the leading electric vehicle market in Southeast Asia with a rapidly increasing demand, driven by a series of government support policies. According to forecasts by the Electric Vehicle Association of Thailand, electric vehicle sales in this market will double this year.
