On March 15th, in Nam Dinh City (Nam Dinh Province), the Opening Ceremony of the 2024 Pho Festival with the theme “The Road of Vietnamese Pho” took place. The event was directed by the People’s Committee of Nam Dinh Province and organized by Masan Consumer Goods Joint Stock Company in collaboration with the sponsorship of the Vietnam Fish Sauce Association, CHIN-SU brand, Pho Story, Bluezone Distilled Water, and Ancient Pho Nam Dinh.
The 2024 Pho Festival is an event that honors the cultural heritage of pho cuisine; as well as an opportunity for visitors and locals to explore, experience and taste the flavor of pho, which is closely associated with the culinary culture of the region and the whole country; contributing to promoting pho to a greater extent on the map of world culinary art.
At the opening ceremony, artist Le Thi Thiet – Chairman of the Nam Dinh Culinary Culture Association, said that this year’s Pho Festival 2024 will have the participation of 100 artists, experts, chefs from the Royal Chef Association, the Vietnamese Chef Association, the VCCA Artists Association, the Vietnamese Young Chef Association, the VCCA Vietnam Advisory Board, and the Van Cu Pho Association, the Ancient Pho Nam Dinh Association.
On the first day of the festival, the Pho Festival attracted a large number of visitors to visit the booths and enjoy pho. The festival brought together 50 booths from enterprises and brands participating in the display and promotion of the image and brand of Vietnamese pho from different regions across the country, divided into 3 areas: booths representing pho from three regions, booths showcasing ingredients, and booths displaying standard pho.
CHIN-SU’s booth was invested with an extremely impressive space featuring the shape of a giant bottle of chili sauce and a unique giant bottle of fish sauce. With many years of accompanying every Vietnamese family’s kitchen, CHIN-SU has become a familiar name associated with millions of delicious meals.
Visitors to the 2024 Pho Festival will have the opportunity to enjoy pho with the delicious flavor from booths of famous pho restaurants such as Pho Thin Bo Ho, Van Cu Pho, and Ancient Weaving Pho.
In addition, the Pho Festival 2024 also includes booths with creatively presented pho dishes such as corn pho from Ha Giang, cassava pho from Que Son, artichoke pho from Da Lat, green banana flour pho, vegetarian and nutritious pho, and S Ngoc Linh pho.
Along with that, there are booths displaying ingredients showcasing various types of spices, vinegar, fish sauce, and local specialties in Nam Dinh such as siu chau candy, sesame candy, etc.

The series of activities at the festival aims to make pho become a national brand and be closely associated with tourism development both domestically and internationally. Through the festival, the Organizing Committee expects to move towards establishing a profile to make Vietnamese pho cuisine become a national and world-level intangible cultural heritage.
