The connecting route from the province’s west to the coastal road has a length of 19.20 km, a road width of 12m with 2 bridges on the route including Van 1 Bridge and Phi River Bridge. The total investment of the route is nearly VND 820 billion.
According to the Provincial Traffic Project Management Board, the investor unit, the route has disbursed a construction value of VND 296.8 billion, reaching nearly 57%, and by the end of 2024, the route will be completed and put into use.
The formation of east-west connecting routes will expand the space of Phu My district towards the sea, facilitating trade between regions, gradually completing infrastructure and contributing to the socio-economic development and local defense and security.
Mr. Ngo Anh Tuan, Deputy Director of the Provincial Traffic Project Management Board, said that the agency is currently urging the construction units to strive to asphalt the entire route by the end of June, and by the end of 2024, it will be completed and put into use. The board has also developed a plan to ensure the effectiveness of this route when completed and put into operation.
Regarding the use of aggregate materials for the pavement layer, the agency has worked with stone mines because there are currently many stone mines in Binh Dinh province with relatively large reserves, but only some mines can guarantee the particle composition and quality of the stone.
During the field inspection of the entire route, Mr. Nguyen Tu Cong Hoang, Deputy Chairman of the provincial People’s Committee, said that the province requires the construction units to ensure the quality of the project; taking the quality of the project as the top priority, construction packages may be delayed slightly but the quality must be guaranteed. Especially, the quality of the stone during construction must be ensured, absolutely no use of low-quality stone. In the near future, the province will request the Department of Construction to inspect the quality of stone throughout the route. In addition to this key project, the department must also inspect the quality of stone in other projects in the province.
