The job openings cover a wide range of positions such as pharmaceutical representatives, technical staff, sales staff, accountants, receptionists, chefs, and tour operators.

In addition, there are job openings for graduating students such as marketing, accounting, administrative staff, mechanical and electrical engineers, information technology, human resources interns, and design interns.

Most of the job openings require candidates with intermediate or higher education, with vocational and technical workers accounting for the highest percentage at 44.7%. On the other hand, the demand for low-skilled labor is relatively low, at around 2%.

According to the Hanoi Employment Service Center, job openings with high incomes of 10 million VND or more per month mainly focus on information technology, business, management, engineers, supervisors, and department heads for experienced and skilled workers capable of handling high work pressure.

The most common income segment is between 7-10 million VND per month, accounting for around 40% of total job openings. The remaining job openings offer incomes of 5-7 million VND per month or are negotiable. The negotiated salary depends on factors such as skills, experience, education level, and job position to ensure the needs and rights of workers.

Mr. Vu Quang Thanh, Deputy Director of the Hanoi Employment Service Center, stated that the “Youth Month Recruitment Festival 2024” is an opportunity for youth, students, and workers to access information about the recruitment needs of businesses, receive consultations, introductions, and guidance on job opportunities, interview skills, and legal policies.

Students and young workers will also have the opportunity to practice job search skills, thereby learning and improving their basic skills and knowledge, and developing the ability to adapt to the labor market fluctuations after graduation. They will also develop habits and professionalism in their work.

Previously, to improve the efficiency of the job fair and increase the connection between supply and demand in job placement, the Hanoi Employment Service Center collaborated with Dong A University to conduct surveys and collect information and job-seeking aspirations of over 2,000 students at the university. The survey showed that about 70% of the students have job search needs, mainly for part-time jobs.

Therefore, at today’s fair, the organizers have invited several businesses that have a demand for part-time employees, such as Takahiro Joint Stock Company, My Second Home Limited Liability Company, T&L Vietnam Investment Joint Stock Company, Tatamore Joint Stock Company, to recruit for positions such as sales, cashiers, bartenders, servers, and receptionists.

In addition, participants will also have the opportunity to attend workshops and receive advice on job search skills, resume preparation, and interview skills to equip themselves with the necessary skills and basic knowledge and adaptability to the labor market after graduation, and develop professional work habits and etiquette.

Furthermore, the job fair acts as a bridge between three parties: the university, students, and businesses, creating opportunities for businesses to access high-quality human resources and establishing long-term information exchange between the university and businesses.

In recent years, the Hanoi Employment Service Center has implemented various solutions to develop the labor market. The goal is to provide information and knowledge related to labor policies, regulations, standards, employment, and labor laws.

Alongside this, career guidance activities for young workers focus on finding suitable jobs based on their skills, abilities, and expertise; providing advice on interview skills, communication skills to equip them with the initial knowledge for their career paths.
