Board of Trustees and Governance Committee Members Resign En Masse

The general corporation has received resignations as members of the Board of Directors from Mr. Do Quang Vinh; Mr. Vu Duc Trung, Mr. Le Dang Khoa, Mr. Vu Duc Tien, Mr. Luu Danh Duc, Mr. Nguyen Van Truong; and as a member of the Supervisory Board from Ms. Ninh Thi Lan Phuong.

Saigon-Hanoi Insurance Corporation (BSH – UPCoM: BHI) has announced resignations from its Board of Directors and Supervisory Board.

Specifically, the company received resignation letters from the following board members: Do Quang Vinh, Vu Duc Trung, Le Dang Khoa, Vu Duc Tien, Luu Danh Duc, Nguyen Van Truong. Ninh Thi Lan Phuong resigned from the Supervisory Board.

Mr. Vinh cited personal reasons for his resignation, which will take effect on April 15, 2024.

Do Quang Vinh is currently Vice Chairman of Saigon-Hanoi Commercial Joint Stock Bank (SHB) and Deputy General Director of the bank. He is also Chairman of Saigon-Hanoi Securities JSC

According to the audited 2023 financial statement, the company’s Board of Directors has seven members. With these resignations, all BSH board members except Nguyen Tat Thang have submitted resignation letters.

BHI has previously appointed Doan Kiem as Deputy General Director in charge; Pham Quang Trinh as Deputy General Director; and Nguyen Van Truong as Deputy General Director for a one-year term starting from April 1, 2024.

On February 27, 2024, DB Insurance officially became a foreign strategic shareholder, holding 75% of the charter capital (equivalent to 75 million BHI shares). The remaining shares are owned by the Vegetable and Fruit Corporation (Vegetexco – 10.1%), Saigon-Hanoi Commercial Joint Stock Bank (SHB – 4.29%), and other shareholders.

According to the audited 2023 financial statement, BHI’s net insurance revenue was VND 2,630 billion compared to VND 2,718 billion. Profit after tax reached VND 15.5 billion (VND 33.3 billion in the same period).

The company will hold its 2024 Annual General Meeting of Shareholders in Hanoi on April 26.
