On April 19, a leader of the Dak Lak Provincial People’s Committee said that after receiving a document from the Ministry of Public Security, the Dak Lak Provincial People’s Committee had directed the Management Board of Investment and Construction Projects of Transport Works and Rural Development of Dak Lak Province to provide files for the bid package implemented by Thuan An Group Joint Stock Company.
Thuan An Group implements a bid package over 5.2km long of the Ho Chi Minh road project, avoiding the East of Buon Ma Thuot City
According to this person, the Ho Chi Minh road project, avoiding the East of Buon Ma Thuot City (Dak Lak province) is a project of the Ministry of Transport (MOT). MOT has assigned the Management Board of Investment and Construction Projects of Transport Works and Rural Development of Dak Lak Province as the investor.
“After the Ministry of Public Security issued a document, the Dak Lak Provincial People’s Committee directed the province’s business unit, the Management Board of Investment and Construction Projects of Transport Works and Rural Development of Dak Lak Province, to provide records as requested. Reporting is the responsibility of the Management Board of Investment and Construction Projects of Transport Works and Rural Development of Dak Lak Province and the Ministry of Transport. Dak Lak province does not have any official document” – the leader of the Dak Lak Provincial People’s Committee informed.
Thuan An Group’s bid package is still unfinished
Previously, the Department of Investigation Police on Corruption, Economic, and Smuggling Crimes – the Ministry of Public Security (C03) issued a document requesting the Dak Lak Provincial People’s Committee to provide files and documents related to the bid package of Thuan An Group Joint Stock Company (Thuan An Group).
Accordingly, C03 requested that the Dak Lak Provincial People’s Committee cooperate in directing relevant departments, sectors, units, and organizations to provide information and complete files and documents related to bid package No. 3: Construction (section Km0 – Km20+500) belonging to the Investment Project for the construction of Ho Chi Minh road, avoiding the East of Buon Ma Thuot City.
The Ho Chi Minh road project, avoiding the East of Buon Ma Thuot City, is over 39.6 km long with a total investment of over VND 1,800 billion after the capital increase. In which, bid package No. 3 (over 20 km long, contract value of over VND 490 billion) is implemented by a consortium of 4 contractors. Thuan An Group is in the joint venture of bid package No. 3, constructing a 5.2km long road section, with a bid package value of over VND 105 billion.
