On April 11, the Economic Police Department of Quang Ngai Provincial Police has issued a decision to start a criminal case, prosecute the accused and temporarily detain Nguyen Pham Trong Nghia (50 years old, residing on Hoang Van Thu Street, Quang Phu Ward, Quang Ngai City) for the act of taking bribes.
The Investigation Police Agency has also searched the residence and workplace of this accused. Mr. Nghia is currently the Deputy Head of Dung Quat Economic Zone and Quang Ngai Industrial Park Management Board.

In addition, the police agency also prosecuted the accused Tran Thanh Nam (46 years old, residing on Thanh Thai Street, Tran Phu Ward, Quang Ngai City) for the act of giving bribes.
Mr. Nam is currently Deputy Head of Natural Resources and Environment Management Department, Dung Quat Economic Zone and Quang Ngai Industrial Park Management Board.

Previously, in August 2021, Mr. Nguyen Pham Trong Nghia was appointed to the position of Deputy Head of Dung Quat Economic Zone and Quang Ngai Industrial Park Management Board, for a term of 5 years, from August 18, 2021 to August 18, 2026.
The case is still under investigation by the relevant authorities.
