The passenger terminal is known to be the largest scale contract package with the most complex technical characteristics and the longest construction time among the contract packages of Component 3 of the project, including essential works in the airport of phase 1 of the Long Thanh airport construction investment project.
The contract package is valued at 35,000 billion VND and was constructed by the Vietur Joint Venture within 39 months.
In phase 1 when put into operation, Long Thanh International Airport has a capacity to serve 25 million passengers and 1.2 million tons of cargo per year. It is expected that after the completion of all phases, Long Thanh International Airport will reach a capacity of up to 100 million passengers per year.
