Unveiling a Jewelry Store’s Deception: Counterfeit Chanel Adornments Exposed

Counterfeit goods have been discovered at a jewelry store in Nghe An, according to local authorities.

On April 19, Nghe An Market Management Department stated that the unit had established an administrative violation record for the competent authority to issue a decision to impose a fine of VND 85 million for the act of trading in counterfeit goods with the Chanel brand name.

Previously, on April 16, Market Management Team No. 11 – Nghe An Provincial Market Management Department coordinated with the Economic Security Department of Nghe An Provincial Police to suddenly inspect a gold trading shop in Dien Chau Town, Dien Chau District (Nghe An).

Functional forces inspect at the gold trading store

The inspection discovered that the store was displaying gold-colored metal jewelry bracelets with the Chanel brand name that showed signs of being counterfeit. In addition, the business also used social networking sites to trade in goods suspected of being counterfeit brands as mentioned above.

At the time of the inspection, the business owner failed to present an invoice or a legal document proving the origin and accompanying documents for the goods mentioned above. The value of the goods was nearly VND 25 million.

The inspection team sealed and temporarily seized the number of exhibits bearing the above violations for verification to clarify the violation factor.
