On April 22, Chairman of the People’s Committee of Bac Giang province, Le Anh Duong, issued an official document directing relevant units to take drastic actions to remove difficulties and obstacles in the investment and development activities of industrial clusters.
In detail, the Chairman of Bac Giang Provincial People’s Committee requested the Department of Industry and Trade to review the approved industrial cluster development plan to avoid overlapping with other planning.
The Department of Planning and Investment of Bac Giang is responsible for examining and evaluating the capacity and experience of secondary investors; guiding and prioritizing the attraction of projects with industries and capabilities that can be linked and supported in the same industrial cluster.
Strengthening inspection and examination of investment and investment attraction in industrial clusters. Strictly handling violations, slow investment projects, and non-investment according to regulations.
The Department of Finance shall preside over and advise the Provincial People’s Committee on implementing regulations on supporting industrial cluster development activities. Providing guidance to industrial cluster investors and district-level People’s Committees on managing and operating industrial clusters with technical infrastructure formed from the state budget.
The Department of Construction shall coordinate with the inspection to examine and handle compliance with legal regulations in the field of construction, ensuring that industrial clusters are invested in and built synchronously.
The Department of Natural Resources and Environment shall strengthen the inspection and handling of wastewater and waste of industrial cluster investors and enterprises in the industrial cluster. The provincial Public Security shall inspect, supervise, and correct compliance with legal regulations on fire prevention and fighting of enterprises.
District, city, and town People’s Committees shall inspect and monitor the operation of investors and enterprises to promptly detect, correct, and strictly handle violations.
Directing relevant units to speed up the progress of site clearance, land lease, and organize the construction and completion of synchronous infrastructure of industrial clusters.
Previously, on April 12, Cong Thuong Newspaper reported that the investment and construction of industrial clusters in Bac Giang province were behind schedule and had some negligence in planning.
Not only that, the management and development of industrial clusters in Bac Giang province also face difficulties and obstacles. The progress of implementing some contents and tasks is still slow, failing to meet the practical requirements for investment attraction.
Commenting on this field, Vice Chairman of Bac Giang Provincial People’s Committee Phan The Tuan said that the progress of site clearance is not yet guaranteed. Some projects are difficult to implement due to negligence in the planning and evaluation phase; some localities are not active and proactive in removing difficulties.
