Q1 2024, Viettel Global revenue maintains impressive growth at 22%, Post-tax profit surges by 175%

Viettel Global, a leading international investment corporation, has released its consolidated financial statement for Q1 2024. The report showcases remarkable growth with a substantial 22% increase in revenue and an impressive 175% surge in net profit compared to Q1 2023.

The report shows that Viettel Global’s sales and service revenue reached VND 7,907 billion, an increase of 22% compared to the first quarter of 2023. This is an impressive growth rate for a telecommunications company in the context of the world nearly saturated with this service.

In Quarter 1, all 9 markets recorded high growth, of which 5 markets had double-digit growth such as Lumitel in Burundi (29%), Unitel in Laos (24%), Movitel in Mozambique (22%), Natcom in Haiti (18%), and Metfone in Cambodia (13%).

With positive revenue growth, Viettel Global’s consolidated after-tax profit in the first quarter of 2024 reached VND 1,633 billion, a 175% increase over the same period in 2023.

According to the 2023 Annual Report, which was announced on April 19th, in 2024, Viettel Global aims to maintain a double-digit growth rate, of which traditional telecommunications will grow by >10%, and non-telecommunications services will grow by 20 30%. To expand growth sources, Asian markets will focus on developing information technology infrastructure, data centers, cloud computing, and big data. African and American markets will focus on developing new digital services based on the 4G platform and broadband internet services, standing ready to meet the increasing needs of users.
