Gold Price in Vietnam Rises Again
Following the growth trend from yesterday afternoon, this morning, the ** SJC gold price** at gold trading businesses continued to adjust significantly.
At 10:45 AM, the SJC gold price at Saigon Jewelry was listed at VND 82.6-84.8 million/tael, up VND 1 million in the buy-in price and VND 1 million in the sell-out price compared to the same time yesterday.
Similarly, DOJI Gold kept the price of this metal at VND 82.3 – 84.5 million/tael, an increase of VND 800,000 per tael.
Bao Tin Minh Chau also listed the SJC gold price at VND 82.9 – 84.8 million/tael, an increase of VND 1.3 million in the buy-in price and VND 1.1 million in the sell-out price.
VietinBank Gold adjusted the gold price to VND 82.4 – 84.62 million/tael, an increase of VND 1.1 million in the buy-in price and VND 1.2 million in the sell-out price.
PNJ listed it at VND 82.6 – 84.8 million/tael, also adjusted up by VND 300,000-500,000 per tael in the buy-in and sell-out prices, respectively.
Mi Hong Gold Shop in Ho Chi Minh City adjusted the price sharply, with an average increase of VND 900,000 per tael, now at VND 83.1-84.4 million/tael.
The difference between the buy and sell prices of SJC gold bars at gold trading units continues to widen, currently listed around VND 2 million/tael.

Gold price for plain rings at gold shops has also been slightly adjusted up by about VND 200,000 per tael in both buy-in and sell-out prices compared to yesterday. Specifically, Saigon Jewelry listed the buy-sell price of plain ring gold at VND 73.3-75 million/tael; Bao Tin Minh Chau is VND 73.88-75.48 million/tael; DOJI is currently VND 74-75.65 million/tael; VietinBank Gold listed it at VND 73.25-74.95 million/tael; and PNJ listed the plain ring price at VND 73.3-75 million/tael.
Yesterday’s session, the State Bank expected to continue auctioning gold bars. However, at noon, the agency issued a notice to cancel the gold bar auction session due to only one unit submitting a bid. This is the second gold auction canceled. Earlier, on April 22, due to the lack of a sufficient number of members registering to bid and transferring the deposit as prescribed, the State Bank also canceled the gold auction session.

Globally, according to Vietnam time, the gold price surged again after a period of decline, returning to the mark of 2334, a slight increase of USD 3 compared to the closing session of the previous day. In conversion, the world gold bar price is currently equivalent to VND 71.7 million/tael, still lower than the domestic SJC gold price by VND 13.1 million.
