Mazda Imported Car Prices Soar: CX-3 Breaks Record for Lowest Price Ever, Mazda2 Remains the Most Affordable in Its Segment

In May 2024, Mazda Vietnam once again adjusted prices for its Mazda2, CX-3, CX-30 models, with increases ranging from VND 5 to 10 million for each model and variant.

The new prices have been announced by dealers and updated on Mazda Vietnam’s website.

The price increases come as no surprise, as most of the Mazda models affected are imported, and the exchange rate has been fluctuating significantly. To purchase 1 USD at Vietcombank, customers now have to pay VND 25,458, an increase of over VND 1,000 or 4.2% compared to the beginning of the year. This has put immense pressure on businesses that import products or raw materials for their production processes.

The distributor has not yet disclosed any specific reasons for the price increases.

Mazda2

In the latest price adjustment, the Mazda2 received price increases ranging from VND 5 to 10 million, depending on the variant. This has increased the starting price of the model to VND 430 million.

This is the third price adjustment for the Mazda2 facelift model in Vietnam. The new model was not launched with much fanfare, and the changes compared to the previous model were not significant. The main differences include new front and rear bumpers, new wheels, and LED headlights as standard. The other features remain largely the same.

Mazda3

For the Mazda3, only the 1.5L Luxury variant has had its price adjusted. The price of this variant has increased by VND 5 million, from VND 619 million to VND 624 million. This is also the only assembled model included in the price adjustment.

As the Mazda3 price increase is relatively small, it is unlikely to cause significant disruptions to the C-segment market in the coming months. As of the end of Q1 2024, the Mazda3 is the best-selling model
