Le Thi Thanh Thuy at the investigation agency
On May 2, the Investigation Police Agency of Quang Binh Province announced that it is investigating a criminal case of “Fraudulent Appropriation of Property” that occurred in 2024, involving the defendant Le Thi Thanh Thuy (born in 1987; residing in Dong Hai Ward, Dong Hoi City).
Before being prosecuted and temporarily detained for the above charge, Le Thi Thanh Thuy was a former bank employee of a branch in Quang Binh Province.
As reported by Nguoi Lao Dong Newspaper, Le Thi Thanh Thuy and another defendant, Hoang Thi Ngoc Thuy (born in 1988; residing in Nam Ly Ward, Dong Hoi City), provided information that they had close relationships with干部and leaders of many banks in Quang Binh Province.
These two individuals boasted that, thanks to these relationships, they had a lot of information about customers who needed to borrow money from banks that were due, and that the profit earned from lending was high in a short period of time.
Using this method, Thuy and Thuy received money from 6 victims in Dong Hoi City with a total amount of nearly 53 billion VND, then misappropriated it for other purposes. Expanding the investigation, the police determined that the two defendants had also defrauded other victims of more than 110 billion VND.
In addition to personal use, these two subjects transferred this money to other people for lending.
To facilitate the investigation and ensure the rights and legitimate interests of citizens, the Investigation Police Agency of Quang Binh Province hereby announces that anyone who has been defrauded or had their property misappropriated by Le Thi Thanh Thuy through the methods and means mentioned above should report to the Criminal Police Department of Quang Binh Provincial Police (No. 1 Nguyen Trai, Dong Hoi City), contact investigator Hoang Trung Thanh at the phone number 0944.428.088 to be resolved in accordance with the provisions of the law.
